I love our coaching staff. I am not one to nit-pick and/or question what they do. But looking back on last year, I do not see how Coker is not your clear cut starter for next year. And why they seem to be so obsessed with Foster. Coker got 5 carries in the Outback Bowl. FIVE!!! That is rediculous! This guy averaged over 6 yards a carry, 20 yards on kick return and 3 of his 5 TD's were over 40 yards, two of which were 89 and 91. It just doesn't make sense to me at all what-so-ever. Would anyone agree?

Some people might even claim that it's RIDICULOUS. Personally, I think it's ridiculous that anyone could love our coaching staff.

I agree with you about preferring Coker over Foster and Hardesty. I believe that our wonderful coaching staff doesn't feel that Coker is durable enough to sustain all of the hits that he would absorb over the course of a season if he was to shoulder the entire burden of the running game.

He's definitely our most explosive offensive player coming into the season. He needs to be on the field as often as possible, whether it be in the backfield or out in the slot...there's no reason for him to be on the sideline.

Coker was "in the doghouse" before the Penn State game. That is most likely why he only got 6 carries.

There is no doubt that he is a playmaker and also the only RB in 2006 that understood North South running. The whole football culture is changing to get two solid backs rather than have one take the blunt force of 20 plus carries a game. I just hope if Tennessee practices the theory that Coker will get the more important carries (if there is such a thing) because of Foster's fumbling woes.

If Coker wants to be on the field, he needs to act like a man. Instead, he's acted like a child.

Does anyone know the latest rumors about Coker?
I've heard a couple of different vsrsions. Not practicing with the team, grandfather was sick, bad grades, etc. The one constant is he is in Fulmer's doghouse.

If he gets things on the right path, he should be the #1 guy, and I expect him to be just that.

Coker not playing will be his own fault. CPF has a doghouse and the players that get in it all put themselves there. This may be the first time that I said i have agreed with VolinArizona.

Thats exactly how i feel, Coker can go the distance anytime he touches the ball. If Coker would have gotten 6 carries in the PSU gm, who knows we might have one. I think Ray Charles can see better than our staff. The only staff i have faith in is CUT, TROOP, and FULMER. You can't not beileive in FULMER, he proved he could go the distance to.

I agree that Coker should be starting. Keep in mind that Foster and Hardesty beat him out of the starting role at the beginning of last season. Maybe they want to give Foster the benefit of the doubt. Kind of like what happened with the J. Lewis/T. Henry thing. We all knew Henry deserved to start, but Lewis had potential even with the bum knee.

I see what you're saying...but, Coker and Foster are a much less attractive combo than Henry and Lewis.
