Did anyone besides myself notice that give me that rocky top tennessee was no longer in big and richs intro to gameday.Just more proof of espn hating on us:unsure:

I didn't watch the new game Day info, but I had heard they removed it.

Hmmm what has UT done in the past 5 years? and then what has TCU done in the past 5 years?

Seems logical to me.

Maybe so.But was has tennessee done for college football in the last 50 years compared to TCU 5 years.

What has ND and Michigan done. There's lots of schools with less history and traditions on that intro. Call and complain 1-888-549-espn (3776).

Sorry dude.... We've done a pretty good job of that all on our own.

Time for some fans to get over ESPN and help this football program get back to being a perennial Top 10 power.

Then we can worry about whether ESPN likes us or not... :thumbsup:

They've been using that garbage song for, what, 5 years now? Instead of actually changing it to something tolerable, they remove "Rocky Top Tennessee"?

I wont argue that espn hates us, but i did alittle research on tennessee being part of gameday.

last appearance 2006 against arkansas.

gameday covering flordia vs tennessee, 96,97,99,00,01,02

we was on gameday twice in, 97,98,99,02,04,06

we had a gameday appearance every year from 95-02 then 04,06!

I dont know if its even possible for us to be on gameday this year, the only way i see it is either the lsu game and we are undefeated or if we beat lsu and are undefeated for the alabama game! I dont think that is possible, but the point is we got to start winning before we get any respect! I hate espn but I would still like to hear positive media about tennessee from them! go vols beat cincy!!!!

Already a thread on this Sat and I'm glad! Hate that song hate that group!! Time for some new flavor on gameday ESPN!!!!

WHO CARES ABOUT ESPN. When we start to win consistently year in and year out, they will have no choice but to put the Vols in Highlights and intro's. Remember when Bama wasnt winning all that much, ESPN didnt put them all over the shows. Winning brings alot of "Extra" benefits.

So what can a fan do to help TN become a top 10 team? Not a booster, just a common fan. I'm all ears.

Yeah, when we were good in the late 90's, they just trashed Manning and called us trailor park trash. How many commerials did they have Fulmer in like they do Saban and the Mad Hatter.

Common fan - buy UT merchandise - they get a cut on licensing

Common fan - be a booster & give 50.00. That is one meal at an average restaurant or 2 @ Cracker Barrel

Common fan - go to a game even if it is once every year or 2

Yeah, because a tiny Tennessee mention needs to be a part of the Eastern Saban Programming Network. ESPN just kisses butt to whoever is winning. Easy job to do, imo. We haven't done that since 2007, and even then we were lucky to get to that SEC title game. Honestly, people haven't been psyched about this team for a few years now. TCU has been a pretty good team lately. If we pull an upset or two this year, they'll probably hype us up for next year.

Winning = being on ESPN

Being on ESPN does NOT = winning.

It doesn't matter. And Desmond went to Michigan, and with millions of Wal-Mart Wolverines around, they'll always get attention. And Notre Dame was #18 going into week 1. Enough said about them.

I joined VolNation so I can talk football with other UT fans. I don't need ESPN blowing smoke up our butt.

Fan support and money ain't the problem. Fulmer recruiting dropped off and he couldn't beat the big boys without better players. Then Hammy made a bad hire in Kiffin, so we got behind. Let hope we can catch back up.

Get use to it . Espn only likes teams that's had good records over last several years. What are we in last 3 years like 18-20. I. Know espn is not crazy about us but we need to earn our respect back to get it and we will with Dooley.
