No Happy Ending

If Currie was the one about to hire Pruitt this place would be going nuts... But Papaw Fulmer knows best, right?

Come on boys! Let's keep this crap stirred up and stinking. Just remember that anything negative that can be said is a positive for the whiners and crap stirrers! WooHoo.

UT’s Administration has backed up our fanbase into a wall.

More than likely, Fulmer will bring in an underwhelming hire whether it’s Pruitt, Steele, Tucker, or some other Google coach.

5 years of Butch, embarrassing cliches, negative National media, turning into bottom dwellers of the SEC, you name it.

Most of us thought it’d be our time to make UT relevant again. I really believed our Administration would have a whole new outlook and learn from their past mistakes.

It’s the same ole story with the same ole outcome.

5 years of rebuilding and yet, we’ve continued to go on this downward spiral.

I respect Fulmer and still greatly appreciate what he’s done for the University of Tennessee but he didn’t know what he was getting himself into.

Regardless if one of the finalists is hired, it won’t have a happy ending.

We deserve so much better but it’s too obvious they don’t care. Never have, never will.

I’ll continue to support my Vols however, my expectations won’t be near as high as they used to be.

SAD... SAD...... SAD.... I can not think of another word to describe it. Take a chill pill.. Pour another drink.... Longer drag on a left handed cigarette..
Calm down.
No one. Not one of the 496 sure bet Coaches mentioned on here and 97 other message boards would be or are the savior coach. It will take 2-3 years to see if their Coaching ability is gonna take. It will take 2-3 hours to see how they recruit.
Get over yourself and attempt to enjoy UT Football. Relax and enjoy the process.

Maybe you should consider why the teams that typically have high caliber athletes didn't hire Leach.

He does not get along with admin. Fans love him, press loves him. Admin hates him. He is probably a little too eccentric for some of our most socially conservative fans

He is an average coach.

I disagree. Not really seeing the point in arguing about it now tho. We will get another defensive minded guy, and if he is good, we will hover around 7-5 to 9-3 for several years with the same token SEC offense we and some others have been trying to run on Bama. I prefer to get a creative coach who is an offensive genius over likely having to eat unseasoned white potatoes for 5-6 years.
