No excuse

Well since you've played thru college and therefore obviously "know", then please enlighten everyone how any coach "makes" a person play "with a chip" when they clearly don't want to or do not have it in them to do so??
You're clearly bashing coaches (I'm not bashing nor defending anyone) so I thought I would ask

Everyone seems so absolutely sure of "the problem" and since you claim the problem is simply "make them play harder" then what is the method that should be used to accomplish this?
I could do without the sarcasm.....but to answer your question.....you play the ones who play with intensity. If they want to play like a ballerina, you sit their ass on the bench. Doesn’t matter who they are. I remember a coach telling me one time at the beginning of the season.....the goal is to win every game, but if we lose you better make damn sure you go down swinging.

Helton needs to be fired his play calling is so predictable it's crazy. However I also believe if we could have a good Oline then our offense will be able to make plays. Idk why we have such a bad o line for so long and we even have the #1 OT and another #1 on the way for next year

"look at App state and Troy" Most of those kids have the heart of a Lion. They were over looked by the big schools. You're not fast enough, big enough, accurate enough. So they play with a chip on the shoulder. They have something to prove.

Now the kids at the big schools "Tennessee" some (not all) are pampered, already proved themselves with the scholarship. Been told how great they are since age six.
Look the part, think they're NFL caliber. Gonna buy mama a house. Just taking it easy on the body, coasting along until the league tryouts.
