So after reading this I'm really left with the question of whether this is new for Crompton or if he studied like this last year as well?
I think it is quite likely that the QB's were the only ones on the field last year who usually understood and knew the offense. IMHO, all three QB's looked much worse than they're capable of because others so routinely screwed their assignments up.
You don't throw the ball to the sideline with authority if you're afraid the receiver will make the wrong break. Protection was terrible all year.
There was no confidence in the system or between the players last year. I don't think you can fault effort.
