No christmas at ut

Here is my take on this whole thing. This is college. People go to college to experience to new things, to experiment with life. It's been like that for decades. Leave home, act crazy, offensive, stupid, etc. But in recent years there has been a shift from kids embarking on their own life discoveries and instead retreating to a fetal position like state of mind.

It is like the new "edgy" is being offended. The new wild and crazy is creating safe spaces and fake racism drama. The new critical thinking is now obfuscated and teetering on regressive.

I wonder what the UT kids now would think if they knew we used to smoke in the buildings! ERMGHAWD!

College has become an extension of the coddled K-12 system these nitwits suckled on for years.

When I went to UT I wrote a paradoy of The Lottery for one of my English classes.

I made it into a story about aids infested prostitutes who draw straws for the first heroin fix of the season. People thought it was great. The teacher though it was great even though highly disturbing. I'd probably get flunked out of class for doing that now.

You'd be kicked out of school by the "council."

Funny thing is I've worked with buddahist, muslims, and atheists, none of them ever turned down pay for Christmas either.

That's the stupidity...it's a national holiday and they don't want you to celebrate it

The UT Administration has lost it's mind. First they come out with "Use Ze instead of he or she" now they come out with no Christmas party. The brilliant minds at the university can kiss my fat ass. I have donated my last penny to the university as long as they continue this BS. I have a couple of pieces of property I have willed to the university. If I live until tomorrow morning that will be taken out of my will.
This weak ass PC garbage needs to stop.

Ahem... I happen to be a big fan of TN property if you're needin' someone else to bequeath it to.

How sh*tty of an existence does one have to lead to be offended by Santa Claus, Rudolph, and Frosty?

Futhermore, who would invite such a person to their party?

Id like to thank the University of Tennessee and Fox News for conspiring, with all stupidity at their disposal, to make the holidays just a little more annoying than they already were.

No one wins when the conservative PCers and the liberal PCers go to war with one another. We all suffer from the obnoxiousness.

Not in my class, you wouldn't. Stories about AIDS-infested, heroin-fixated prostitutes, with ironic senses of humor, are always welcomed in my class.

I have no issue with religiously neutral parties, but I believe that Santa is religiously neutral.

Christmas can be religiously neutral as well. The season of giving should be from the heart and not religiously motivated.

I'm an idealist though.

In all reality Christmas is already religiously neutral.

This. I'm agnostic. I get xmas presents. I give xmas presents. I might or might not put up a tree. For me its more of a seasonal thing, not much different than putting out a pumpkin on Halloween.

If it wasn't for the wife I wouldn't have a single decoration in the house. As for presents, kids are adults so they get gift cards or tools, parents get steak, brothers get jack. I only buy for my niece, nephews and wife. Christmas is for kids.

I emailed them after the Ze thing telling chancellor@utk.edu that I was done with Alumni events and donations. My main beef is they have gone backwards in rankings.

The letter was poorly written. The Christmas part doesn't even have to be mentioned, as it's implied in the 1st sentence.

On a side note, I'm sure there is a nice Catholic Church in your area that could use the property
