But seriously it doesn’t cost Tennessee to fire him.....unless I missed some kind of “firing bonus.” Maybe I did, I’m often wrong.
It would “cost” to hire someone else while still paying Pruitt.
However if you know it ain’t working.....like Pruitt himself said.....it’s best just to do it.
Then just move Tee (or someone) to interim for now. Now....Pruitt is fired and it hasn’t cost you anything “extra” monetarily.
Let Tee (or whoever) know they got 1 full year (to see what they can do, and all that Jazz). For next season you bump Tee up maybe 250k or so and.....we see.
It either works or it doesn’t......and your only out an extra 250k or so.
I mean.......if you wanted to fire Pruitt, but say “they have to wait until after next year.”
