Contract probably has a clause voiding this option.

Otherwise, it's not a horrible idea but it would be highly awkward.

No he wouldn’t! He doesn’t have to! Auburn will start at $7mil and not let him leave the cabin until it’s done. 😏

Gus has a $21,450,000 buyout come December. Signing Freeze at 7 million a year for even 5 years puts them over 11 million a year in HC pay.

not sure why everyone is a Tennessee financial expert.

But seriously it doesn’t cost Tennessee to fire him.....unless I missed some kind of “firing bonus.” Maybe I did, I’m often wrong.

It would “cost” to hire someone else while still paying Pruitt.

However if you know it ain’t working.....like Pruitt himself said.....it’s best just to do it.

Then just move Tee (or someone) to interim for now. Now....Pruitt is fired and it hasn’t cost you anything “extra” monetarily.

Let Tee (or whoever) know they got 1 full year (to see what they can do, and all that Jazz). For next season you bump Tee up maybe 250k or so and.....we see.

It either works or it doesn’t......and your only out an extra 250k or so.

I mean.......if you wanted to fire Pruitt, but say “they have to wait until after next year.”

We’re still paying coffee boy down in T-Town.

What an absolute **** show this program is. It’s like the anti-Alabama. They can’t miss with coaches and coordinators and back up QB’s and meanwhile we are wondering around blind and stupid.

This is nuts.
