As per ESPN College Football Rumors:

UPDATE: ESPN's Joe Schad tweeted on Wednesday morning that the package deal to Tennessee will not happen. "I'm told LB Arthur Brown sticking with KSU plan; Tennessee not an option," Schad wrote. Schad sent out another tweet that said that Bryce Brown will resolve his status shortly. "I'm told Bryce Brown should have final decision next week; move to KSU or stay at Tennessee, which he is still welcome to do," Schad tweeted.

So it sounds as if the package deal is still alive, but only for Bill Snyder and Kansas State.

thanks for the first story, but I don't see the need for the second one.. Since it is old news apparently. Hopefully Brown stays, and I honestly think that his delay is better for our chances but who knows.

I just copy and paste....

Would have been nice to keep BB and get AB... oh well

Brown just needs to move on. If he had gone through the spring, I might feel differently, but to simply sit and then decide you want to return and play this fall? I'd not have him back. Too much of a risk to team morale and chemistry not to mention how it might impact the way the team perceives Dooley. Nope. Not worth it.

I really wish Brown would just leave at this point, too much distraction. Give his scholly to a player that wants to be a Vol.

Personally, I'm glad this "deal" is a bust. And if Dooley had anything to do with it...and there's every reason to believe he did...then good for him. We lose two drama queens from Kansas, and maintain both the integrity and cohesion of UT Football. This was a no-brainer.

Bryce Brown will never make an NFL roster, nor will his brother. Let Kansas State deal with that crap.

So long, Bryce. Good luck in the CFL, AFL, or your local car dealership. I wasn't that big on you to begin with, so forgive me if I skip the wailing and gnashing of teeth over your departure.

Meanwhile, Go Vols.

Bryce will be playing for KSU in a couple of years no doubt. If Rajon Neal is as good as everybody says he is, I think we will be fine.

I hope Brown does whats best for him but I'm find with him coming back because it takes away one less weak spot that we have so. If Bryce goes I wish him the best of luck but if he stays I hope he has a break out year next year.

I would love for Bryce to stay but as far as RB being a weak spot on the team I disagree. If I had to pick a spot to lose a guy at it would be RB.

Its kind of a weak spot because we dont have a RB that hasn't really experience a SEC defense like Alabama that has Defensive lineman playing Linebacker.

Yes, we are in good shape at RB; hopefully some blockers will have a few holes opened for them. :good!:

RB is a weak spot ( not saying we don't have talented RB's) we have no experience at RB.. WR is our strong point.. IMO

So him not going through spring ball makes yall not want him? Tauren Poole WALKED OFF THE FILED IN A GAME if that happens at any school with any player then he should be kicked off the team. What Brown done is nowhere near as bad I still dont like him doing it tho but him going to play at Kansas State kind of makes me think that he really was having some personal problems.

until proven otherwise, OL and QB will be our weak spots

I didn't say our weakest spot, but it sure isn't our best.. OL an QB has no experience ..RB is the the same no experience.. Our strongest spot ( IMO) is WR..

I found that it wasn't worth the keystrokes to argue with that guy, so I put him on ignore. Fortunately, this board will be rid of him for good after he loses the bet he just made with Hat.

If Bryce chooses to stay by himself then I am all for it. It is pretty obvious what is going on with his family and the want for him to play with his brother. If he chooses to stay at UT then he has made an adult decision, and from that point forward, he should be treated no differently than any other member of the team. He would have to earn his spot back, but having him would be a positive in my opinion.
