May shows how competitive the sec is. You may be a 1st team all American but only 2nd team all conf

But when did journalists ever let facts get in their way

Yeah really. Lol at naming an All-American kick returner 2nd team All Conference. And there aren't 2 punters better than Trevor Daniel.

As much as it pains me to say, Scott from Bama is a good punter and probably the best in the conference. I think they got that one right.

But also here's to hoping we won't have to use Daniel at all this year.

Scott was a phenomenal punter as a freshman, but then backed up a good bit last year as a sophomore......had a really poor first half of the season but rebounded the second half to wind up having a good season. However, IMO, Daniel was much more consistent and had the better season.

Agree with your second point for sure.

Kirk had 0 td's on kickoffs. Berry had 3 kick return td's and averaged nearly 9 yards more per try. Kirk was also named first team punt returner. Unreal.

Also, Florida's offensive line finished last season as bottom ten groups in nation statistically...yet they have 3 on 2nd All-SEC team and we have 1 on 3rd team.

Actually Florida has 2 on the second team OL, but I agree. It seems to me I have seen a couple of articles questioning Florida's O-line, so I am surprised to see 2 on the second team. Also interesting, I checked Steel's mag, and he has Ivey SEC 2nd team, Sharpe 3rd team, and does not have any Vol O-Line on his SEC teams, but lists Tennessee's O-Line as the #3 2016 SEC Unit ranking, but has Florida #11 O-line. Does that seem strange to you?

DKjr, TKJ not being on there is a joke. Berry not being first team is crazy and Daniel should be second team at the very worst. Weisman and Thomas not being on there anywhere is surprising

Agree on all. Weisman was 2nd team All SEC last season. I guess they figured the Vols were getting too much love.

Hmmn, looks like Kirk got the nod simply because he returns both kickoffs and punts. He's a pretty good punt returner, not in Berry's league on kickoffs.
