Ha ha, I can understand your enthusiasm however us "old folks" understand how things are and how they Should be. Why you ask, we are able to see how things actually work, how things actually happen and the consequences of action.. negative or positive. The idea of staying traditional is not a bad idea, and we seek to keep "Tradition." I do not mind having alternate uniforms for games here and there, as I am sure most "old folk" feel the same way. I hate to use this as an example but.. you already have a vision of what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ looks like, and when he is mentioned his image pops into your mind.. admit it or not. Same idea with our "tradition" at the University of Tennessee, when someone mentions the Vols, we want that Power "T", the Orange and White to be thought of.. its simple really. At this point in my career of being a Vol Fan, while I prefer tradition.. I do not care if they were tater sacks.. just as long as we "whip dat azz":rock:

I've been reading these forums for years, and I finally signed up today to see the leaks. Been silent for to long. Go Vols! I feel like I know all of the frequent posters and look forward to all of you all to get to know me. Go Vols!

same on the white, im sure some other color schemes will come out. Cant wait to see what they offer in dri fit. Put aside some funds for a while for tomorrow.

Haha I don't much get into the dry fit, climate, workout gear stuff. I like the vintage tees.

I personally love the look and feel of the new unis. Orange/Orange is my favorite but the alternates are growing on me. Bottom line is, Nike knows we are a tradition-rich school. Releasing Oregon-like unis would not fly because of our tradition, and too traditional-looking unis would would be boring and wouldn't create enough buzz/splash in Nike's first year. Looks like a solid "meet-in-the-middle" compromise from both ends of the spectrum.

Plus a 10-2 record to go along with these wouldn't hurt.
