Nike Jersey's leaked

This whole debate kind of reminds me of one of my favorite movies, when a female color commentator goes on and on about the color of the uniforms and her friend snaps that people don't give a damn about uniforms and only want to hear about touchdowns and injuries. We're now 20 pages in on a thread about uniforms  :)

And, yet, here you are with post #274.

Some checkerboard on the helmet? I hope that isn't what we'll see--looks terrible, even on just a part of the helmet. Otherwise, I like the rest of the look--powerful.

It's like the pants. Only 1/4 but I agree. Take that checkerboard addition of the alternate helmet and pants and its a home run. Still a great uniform none the less

Anything different and people complain. I still love TN and I bleed TN orange. They could wear black trash bags, and I would still cheer for my beloved VOLS to kick someone's azz.

I was under the impression that they would be keeping the lady vols style and logo for the women's basketball team only. I'm really dissapointed in that. Just murdered a legacy in broad daylight.

Part of that legacy has always been Lady Vols-only fans who wear different colors, sport different logos, and generally seem to define themselves as fans by aggressively NOT being fans of the men's teams. That's a branding disaster.

I started out sympathetic to those on the pro-Lady Vols side of the debate, but the more posts I see like this one from fans who complain that getting rid of the baby blue trim would be somehow "murdering [Pat Summitt's] legacy," the more I'm convinced that getting rid of the separate Lady Vols branding is the right thing to do.
