This board discusses everything. I love it.

***After posting, I realized dime football and added as dime may not be the same thing. ***

I just learned about "dime" footballs recently. Footballs traditionally get worked over before being used. Roughing, mudding, etc. It takes considerable effort to get the "feel" right and some of those techniques are washed off during rainy games. The dime football is created to not need the work over. They spent a lot of time getting the syn skin, texture, stitching and laces right. Created by a former NFL QB.

I wouldn't think 1 ball would be preferred over the other universally. That would be a competitive advantage. As long as the balls are scuffed up and not brand new and slick, I doubt it really matters.

A+ bye week thread though. Nice. Post more.
You'd be wrong. Especially with kickers.

Uh, hello...deflate gate...

Long time reader - first time post....

What are the differences between Nike footballs that we have been using for the past several years versus Adidas footballs we'll be using for years to come?

I'll hang up and listen....
Never used the Adidas ball. Through my experience the Wilson GST is superior to the Nike ball.

Man, I say we use which ever one is the best at going between the uprights. Though I remember John Becksport and liked him, we never knew if he was going to make that 46 yarder and miss the one from 32.

“Good ole days”!

Paging @DeerPark12, do you know if we'll be using Adidas balls or will we use Wilson as previous?
They'll use adidas footballs and basketballs. Unlike when we were with adidas previously and they used a different manufacturer, adidas balls are now manufactured by BIG Game USA, which also manufactures the Nike ball. They are virtually identical other than the logo.

You'll notice on the Nike/adidas photos above that they have the same "USA" logo, which is the mark of BIG Game USA.

End of a bye week discussion. Facts are bad for a long 2 week bye week nuanced thread. We will survive with other conspiracy's moving forward.:D
