I thought he had a chance to make the squad after reading some of the positive press about him recently.

Also, the Rams cut Daniel Bituli and John Kelly.

Not a great week for former Vols.

You think having no camps hurt our Vols?

I think not having NFL physical talent probably hurts them the most.

Bituli has speed issues
Kelly is undersized at 5-10 and 205
Warrior also undersized at 6-1 and 197

Kelly would be better served at 215 (Kamara’s weight) and Warrior at 210-215 (Jamal Adams is 6-1 and 214).

He’ll land somewhere. I think no camp is killing a lot of younger, in drafted players. It’s a shame. But Warrior was getting some glowing reviews lately so I imagine a team that isn’t a Super Bowl contender who has some gaps in their defense, unlike the Ravens, will pick him up and give him a shot.

Neither are undersized. Kelly isn't that good. Warrior was hurt by lack of camp time to impress.

You are right...for college.

NFL players are bigger and faster. They do not have prototypical size for the NFL, especially Warrior.

Dobbs released today, too. Rough Vol day. Maybe he’ll go back to Pitt. Somebody should pick him up.

Agree, Kelly just never struck me as a NFL back. Warrior might be a bit small but the lack of camp plus the fact that the Ravens didn't invest a pick on him probably will mean he will start off on a practice squad somewhere.

Top NFL rbs (fantasy rankings)
CMAC 5'11 202 maybe the best
Barkley 6' 233
Cook 5'10'210
Henry 6'3 247
Kamara 5'10 214
Edwards Helair 5'7 207
Aaron Jones 5'9 208
Drake 6'1 210

Kelly is right there in size with the top backs. There are a couple big backs but most are in the 5'11 205-210 range
The NFL's 11 best safeties

mcCourty 5'10 195
Earl Thomas 5'10 202
Micah Hyde 6' 197
Minkah 6' 207
Honey Badger 5'9 190
jamal Adams6'1 213
Kevin byard 5'11 212
Anthony harris 6'1 202

Yea I always thought he was an OK college back. I never got those who thought he was great here or would be an NFL starter.

Another victim of no preseason to show what he does in game situation outside of practice.drills.

It's a two way street too...there are skill players that show out in practice and just turn off when they get in a game... preseason weeds those guys out too.

Haven't done the math . But I can't imagine it's been a good week for any programs graduates. There's been like 92,000 players cut this week I think.
