Nico visited UCLA the week before the Arkansas game

It floors me that he didn't take the reins and run with them. He won't ever get opportunities like that for the rest of his life.
Time will tell if he made the rt decision. If he balls out @ UCLA then the experts will say he made the correct decision, that Heup’s offense is not a NFL centric offense.

You don’t give up $3,200,000 for $1,200,000 to move back to California. No way now how…. The boy full of 💩

Nico and his dad was wanting Oregon (Nike) money. Lanning had Gabriel and Dante Moore in the wings so he told them to F off.

No way Nico tanked the Arky game. Lance Heard's inability to block Landon Jackson whatsoever is why offense waa stagnant...

Yeah whoever said he tanked the game is delusional. You don’t play bad on purpose when you’re trying to get more money

I saw the Grateful Dead perform live in 1974. The arena was so choked with pot smoke, that when they opened the exit doors, the fresh air brought the crowd back to life, and the Dead’s encore rocked! The mysterious blonde woman came out to dance on stage. It was epic!

My thing with Nico is on his IG he still has plenty of posts of all his old teammates at UT. Very little about UCLA. The whole thing is confusing. I do think he has a 🚁 father but trying to go to Oregon for more 💰

I’ll be honest, I bought a hoodie and lais from his website trying to support. Wish him well and not gonna dwell on what could’ve. Ready for what we have this season
Exactly. Look guys it’s simply: his dad overplayed his hand. That’s it. And now they have to sit in it. It’s sad for the young man bc he’s trying to obey his dad who is leading him down a bad path. Prayers for him and wish him the best.

I wouldn't be surprised if he succeeds at UCLA, but the problem there is that the talent is lacking. UCLA institutionally has written off football. Chip Kelly gave up being a head coach after realizing their resources were totally lacking.

The game against Utah this weekend will be telling. Utah is a TOUGH team. They had a rough season last year, but Kyle Whittingham is a very good coach. They struggled a lot last year mainly due to the offense, with 5 losses last year by a touchdown or less. 3 of those losses were by a field goal.

Utah is always a sneaky good team. Just ask Florida when they showed up and one of their players called their stadium small lol.

Don’t really care about the Arkansas game. Water under the bridge now. What galls me is our starting QB visiting another school DURING the season. Sleazy and unacceptable but I guess we should have expected that from his sleazy father. That just tells me a move was already in motion and they were already taking bids.

I saw them play outdoors university close to Santa Barbara 1976. More than pot going on.

I’m glad he’s gone. I never cared for the “8-million dollar man” label. Outside of Kentucky, he didn’t stand out in any game, and I really couldn’t get behind him asking for more money when he couldn’t even connect on deep balls—something this offense desperately needs. It was clear his focus was never anywhere but on Nico.

Who freakin cares! Freak should design an all things Nico thread and give them a quarter to call someone who cares! It’s Football Time in Tennessee, that’s all 99 percent of vol fans want to talk about! Once again this is another post that is dead to me. GBO

My feeling is that Nico was not as competent a quarterback as most perceived him to be. It was evident he could not read secondaries and was frozen in the backfield even with wide open receivers.

I really think the family made the move to try to restart his clock in another program where he might not be exposed as soon.

If Joey Football can read defenses better then we may be in much better shape.

Our Oline played like dog crap in that game.

Nico has a lot of potential but no motivation to become better. Maybe a change of scenery helps him but Tennessee and Nico weren’t a match that were to do anything.
AND our defense gave up a long drive against the backup QB for a go head touchdown late in the game. On that drive...our D looked as lost as I've seen them in a long time. 🤷‍♂️

The big red flag should have been after the OU win, with Huepel explaining to Nico why they called the game the way they did in the 2nd half of that game.

In real time, I thought it was just Huep giving a boost of confidence to his young QB. But looking back, it seems like Huep was constantly just trying to keep the kid (and his family) happy.
