Get the receivers? why you couldn't find them. al, you done was lock in on one. You didn't deserve a raise!Nico Iamaleava poised to lose millions over Tennessee standoff
Big Nic said, ‘We want you guys to reassure us that you’re going to recruit and get the O-line right, that you’re going to go out there and you’re going to get receivers,’” the friend said
I have all the respect for Tee’s accomplishments here but reality was he wasn’t very good until the 2nd half of the Ga game that season. Even after that he wasn’t very inconsistent. He had a great game at sc but wasn’t very good vs Arkansas. Tee had an outstanding senior season I thought.Peyton was never was the full package when it came to running, or hitting a deep down the field bomb.
His teammates that game back, knew Tee gave them a good shot at that natty, because Tee was a dual threat.
Yes, Tony was a great QB. I was simply referencing the transition and how the team as a whole stepped up, and this year's team could do the same - not meaning win a national championship but continue the growth.I’ll take 1985 Tony Robinson all day long over Peyton.
That program was humming by 1889 and up, which was. well before Manning came into the fold.
edit:
Getting tired of Vols fans that feel like somehow Peyton is the best “college” quarter back to ever play for UT.
Like I said, UCLA has near zero incentive to meet the Iamaleavas where they are. If I were UCLA, my bid amount would be going down every hour they waited to commit.Nico to UCLA - NOT a done deal! Doesn't sound like they are really very interested or trying to get the bargain basement price - UCLA says they are willing to just sit back and see what happens
Not a done deal
Honestly, I was surprised that someone indicated UCLA was going to 1.75m for Nico. Way, way higher than I'd expected. For UCLA to sit back and watch while Aguilar is making plans to relocate himself, I have to question that line of thinking, too. They might mess around and find themselves without Aguilar or Nico. Seems crazy to do things this way.Like I said, UCLA has near zero incentive to meet the Iamaleavas where they are. If I were UCLA, my bid amount would be going down every hour they waited to commit.
Ant that would be pretty crappy of UCLA to Joey Aguilar. From What videos I have seen of their spring, he is looking pretty good. But, that's the landscape of the game now.Nico to UCLA - NOT a done deal! Gotta say Aguilar gets pretty loose with the ball sometimes. While a good QB coach might help in that regard, I'm not convinced we have one so....Ant that would be pretty crappy of UCLA to Joey Aguilar. Naw if that was the case he would have left right after the CFP. TN fans would've been mad but pretty much everyone else would've been like that's college football for you now. Going to spring practice, taking all the reps and trying to hold the team hostage is what united fans from all schools.Just spitballing here. Maybe the whole point was to protect Nico until he goes pro. Certainly, he could get hurt in any conference, but the SEC is special when it comes to getting to the QB. Nico got a taste of that. He could get into a softer situation and still get attention from the pros. He wouldn't be starting for a year or two, anyway. The pros won't be afraid of his dad.
