No way you take him back. I would be hard pressed to even consider taking him back at this point.View attachment 734479
Imagine if this comes out as true. If it is and I’m Josh Heupel I’m not taking him back at all. Can’t trust you as a person much less being the quarterback.
He is your typical meathead sports star dad. Constantly interfering in his sons career and trying to see how he can benefit, instead of how his son will benefit.Yeah, so it sounds like he instigates this chaos and then goes all “Eddie Haskel” and says, whoa, it’s not us! No idea what you’re talking about!”
Oldest move in the book. It’s been a said his dad has been THE problem since day one wrt Nico’s contract. Signs agreement and then starts putting out they’re going to expect more later. What a piece of work.
I know it sounds weird, but it seems Oregon and Tennessee built some sort of kindred spirit thing with the 2 regular season games, ducks pulling trucks, etc. If true, just another piece of kindredness, and one of the reasons Oregon is my team I root for other than TN.It’s not Oregon. They apparently tipped off Heupel that his dad was shopping him around.
Same, for the reasons you listed, and they play a bunch of teams I absolutely hate.I know it sounds weird, but it seems Oregon and Tennessee built some sort of kindred spirit thing with the 2 regular season games, ducks pulling trucks, etc. If true, just another piece of kindredness, and one of the reasons Oregon is my team I root for other than TN.
Well this thing has been going on for a few weeks. So Heupel likely got tipped off awhile ago. Reason he missed today is only due to the leaks and UT deciding to leak everything after on3 reported. He was never going to be made available to the media after that.if true that 100% explains Nico's absence from practice. can't show your face after you got ratted out. Also good job by Oregon for sticking together in solidarity.
That’s where I’m at. I’m less frustrated with Nico if it’s his dad just running around yanking chains and trying to cut better deals. Nico probably trusts his dad a little too much and all he’s doing is making his son into persona non grata if he keeps this up.He is your typical meathead sports star dad. Constantly interfering in his sons career and trying to see how he can benefit, instead of how his son will benefit.
Absolutely disgraceful. I know a lot of people are just gonna blame Nico for this whole thing, and he’s certainly not absolved of all blame, but when you have a dad like this guy, it’s really hard to go against him.
We don't have two OL worth them poaching. Two just transferred in. Sanders isn't going to jump ship a month after getting here, and Heard is the only one I see anyone having any interest in. The rest of them haven't even played enough for anyone to know what they can do.I have a friend at work who's son is currently attending UT and is friends with some people on the football team. Apparently his son was told today straight from a member of the football team that it was nico and 2 OL potentially on the way out and oregon had offered to double his pay nicos pay. I dont know how true any of that is but my friend has no reason to lie.
time for Nico to sit down and watch The Marinovich Project. Great 30 for 30 about what having a dad trying to live your football career. It never ends well for the kids.He is your typical meathead sports star dad. Constantly interfering in his sons career and trying to see how he can benefit, instead of how his son will benefit.

Big Kudos to Dan Lanning for that professional courtesy toward Heupel, if true. That’s pretty solid from a fellow HC.View attachment 734479
