I may be looking at things wrong but it appears after the hype he’s actually dropped in sec rankings after showing what he has on the field.

I’m quite sure than Danny White has been involved - not just Heupel. The same scenario could happen in MBB, WBB.
I’m not going to beat up on Nico. He’s just doing what the rules allow (or the lack of rules.) This probably needs a legislative fix. The current situation is not sustainable.

it could also be true that they feel really good about going to the NFL early and so they are trying to renegotiate the deal so Nico gets next years money right now knowing he won't be around to earn it.

With the age of NIL. These young kids need professional representation. Parents need to stay out of the deal making process. You dont see Arch Manning in the news like this. His camp has made it well known. They dont want to be involved in NIL. They want him focused on getting better and making it to the League where the real money is to be made.

that's because Arch manning comes from a family full of millionaires. they don't need NIL money. Nico's family is not like Arch's family.

His family has had generational wealth since the 70s. Nicos family has reacted like my child in the Chuck E Cheese ticket grab.

That doesn’t make sense. If he’s going to NFL this money he is fighting over is not worth the trouble.

4 million is very comparable to what an NFL rookie makes per-year unless you are a very top draft pick. that's not money you can just dismiss if you have a chance to make that in 1 year and you know that no matter what you'll never be at that school again. anyone would do that.

I just haven’t seen anything from Nico that screams “NFL”. I thought he’d be perfect college QB due to his versatility. When he came out last year and had trouble seeing the whole field and holding the ball too long at times it looked as though he needed more time in college to develop. Really disappointing we wouldn’t see if he has improved and it would really suck to watch him ball out at another school. But I’m sure some NFL team might pick him up in the third round bases on potential alone.

The NCAA is ruining college athletics. No management of the transfer portal and NIL and at this point they will never be able to correct it.

If we sign Faizon Brandon, whose to say he doesn’t pull the same crap once he hits campus?

Nico has handled this poorly but on the other hand, it’s not really his fault.

Blame the NCAA for this mass destruction.
