Nico not at practice today

Am I being old fashion, or does a player lose his spot on the team for not showing up to practice?
I used to help with a high school football team that was pretty good. They had a big game the Friday of fall break and we all told that if they don’t practice they don’t play. A few starters went ahead and hit the beach. They played.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong. If he already has a guaranteed deal with another school…would that not automatically entail tampering??

Nico doesn't strike me as the brightest bulb on the string but surely he isn't dumb enough to walk away from his deal at UT without a guarantee of something better, likely out West. My question is, has the new school realized what kind of dude they are getting? The dude who will screw you over because his dad says he deserves more money. It's like the guy who marries the woman who was cheating on her husband with him. She did it to him, and she'll do it to you! Caveat Emptor!
nico is one halfway decent season away from going to the NFL. whatever team picks him up knows it's a 1 year rental of a guy UT already put all the effort and time into developing and they will reap all the benefits of that work.

I’ll be honest this sounds like a money grab because Camp Nico is afraid he’s not going to make it in the NFL. If he felt good about an NFL career he wouldn’t be concerned about making money this year. This is similar to Pavia wanting an extra year. He knows he’s not going to have an NFL career so trying to get as much as he can now.

So, the report came out that he was renegotiating, his dad said the report was false. Now he doesn’t show for a walk through before the OW game. Seems like either the report was not false, or they got their feelings hurt by the backlash. Either way, this is too much drama. If you really want the story to go away, show up and do your job.
