ya that ain't gonna work in football. if you're waiting for players that aren't in it for the money then prepare for a team full of walk-ons lololDon’t need anybody that’s only here for money. I understand wanting to get paid, but my goodness be a good teammate and take a little less and I promise that will lead to better things in your long term future. Vitello is this way in baseball with recruits, he tells them up front if you’re here for the money then it’s not gonna work out.
I don't get it. The weather is really really nice, and outside these cities it is a beautiful place... but everything you have to put up with out here makes it unbearable for me to even consider. You couldn't pay me enough to live here.View attachment 734406
I have two friend's that have lived out there since 05. They told me they hate it now but it's just hard to leave....makes no sense.
It’s all about the mindset. I know there’s more money involved, but keep it at decent amount and it’s gonna work out. A me first player is not what any team needs is the point.ya that ain't gonna work in football. if you're waiting for players that aren't in it for the money then prepare for a team full of walk-ons lolol
I don't think Heupel puts himself in great danger. I think Heupel and every other football program are already in great danger no matter what he does. The way I see it, it ain't about Nico anymore. I think this is a test of Heupel. If he allows players to "hold out" and damage the team, he puts himself in great danger. I think his only choice is to tell Nico to kick rocks. It's not like Nico was going to set the world on fire anyway.
He's played average at best and anyone that argues otherwise is lying to themselves. He's not worth what he's making now, I don't know what some of you see in him but he hasn't shown me anything that warrants a raise, I'm so over this I'm at the point that I don't even care anymore, if he'll leave here for more money he was never really with us
I think Heupel's reaction to Nico's demand tells me all I need to know.I don't think Heupel puts himself in great danger. I think Heupel and every other football program are already in great danger no matter what he does.
if you let Nico walk, som SEC team will scoop him up and beat us over the head with him and simultaneously signal to the country that TN isn't a place good QBs should think about dealing with.
if you negotiate with him and give him what we wants, the next QB will just ask for more.
Without better regulations or collision by the power football programs to all agree to only pay x amount, then the bleeding will continue indefinitely.
He CAN'T transfer to a SEC school. It will be somewhere on the Left Coast.I don't think Heupel puts himself in great danger. I think Heupel and every other football program are already in great danger no matter what he does.

Good news at least, is that he can't transfer to another SEC school in this window.I don't think Heupel puts himself in great danger. I think Heupel and every other football program are already in great danger no matter what he does.
