Nico not at practice today

Meh I’m done with Nico. If he plays fine but players will never respect a man who wears a dress and needs to be paid more than $8 million per year to underperform.
One of my army buddies was a big Somoan dude who played college football. He would wear that around the barracks and kick anyone's ass who talked ****. I promise you that **** doesn't matter to these guys, especially if you can prove yourself.

We in a recession and they asking for more money. Can’t make it up.
Screw tariff war and recession bs, that damn Nico and Matthews can gtfo and take Heupel and Banks and Martinez and errbody else with them. We can make the playoffs without them. Hell Bring Milton back he wasn't as bad as I said he was.

Don’t need anybody that’s only here for money. I understand wanting to get paid, but my goodness be a good teammate and take a little less and I promise that will lead to better things in your long term future. Vitello is this way in baseball with recruits, he tells them up front if you’re here for the money then it’s not gonna work out.

Heupel ain't Vitello.

The way I see it, it ain't about Nico anymore. I think this is a test of Heupel. If he allows players to "hold out" and damage the team, he puts himself in great danger. I think his only choice is to tell Nico to kick rocks. It's not like Nico was going to set the world on fire anyway.

The timing of this is also so shady. It's spring camp and this is such a distraction. I've never seen an instance in my years of business/personal life where paying someone more before it is earned ever paid off. Usually ends up bad for both parties. The grass is not greener on the other side...only where you water it. This is just basically just pissing on it and making ransoms. If he has a special season, then yes, maybe it's warranted. But at this point there's no way I'm bending to any kind of demands before the performance happens. UT will still be playing football this fall and there are plenty of QBs who would be honored play here. I was trying to think what program would be whispering in his ear. USC would make sense. Seems like a total Lincoln Riley move.

Yeah that's a reliable source...
Basillio is correct until he isn't. He is a little fast to report things that are still in motion, which hurts his credibility but puts him at the forefront. If he says Nico isn't coming back, then at the moment it is very likely he isn't unless there is a miracle.

I usually take him as the current direction, but not the final story.

Yeah that's a reliable source...
he was first to talk about the December shopping (Miami) and trying to get more money. Stuff he has said has been kinda verified today by Sparks, Low.

Sometimes he hits and sometimes he misses.

I'm in LA right now. I am worried about getting drug tested when I get home. The whole damned city smells like skunk.

But at least there are lots of homeless lying around.

How anyone could prefer the Smoky mountains and our scruffy little city to this awesome place is beyond me.

I'd be 100% down to pay Nico more if he idk, passed for 3500 yards and 25 tds last season. But he didn't. He scored zero first half points during all of October with an all time great RB and a coach who ran the number one offense with a peanuts roster two years before. This is all just a massive distraction for the team, and the administration has got to be fed up with dealing with all of this drama for a "pretty good" QB. I say move on before the whole locker room implodes

Very true. Wasn't a shot at you. Just my 2 cents about Heupel vs Vitello. No offense intended.
You’re good. Tony just has that mindset to make great people out of his players and now he’s got a boatload of players in the MLB. A lot of these players are seeing nothing but dollar signs and it’s gotten sickening. If I’m UT, I’m throwing out a max offer that’s not too expensive to QB’s we’re interested in and if they come play for us then that’s great and if not oh well. There are still kids out there that enjoy being a good teammate first and foremost and that have the skill set with those traits.

Merklinger better be ready. Our outlook for season win totals will drop dramatically with the media....not that it matters

I have two friend's that have lived out there since 05. They told me they hate it now but it's just hard to leave....makes no sense.

The same stuff happens in the NFL and college football has become a lesser version of it.
