Possibly. But if Nico’s camp is driving this, the better play is to stay quiet, play the spring game, and then enter the portal next Wednesday. It’s not a good look either way, but at least you don’t have the negativity of a “hold out” following you the rest of your football career. NFL GMs will not forget this. He’s not a generational talent, so this will negatively affect his pro career trajectory if he ever makes it that far.

If it’s to believed, they pivoted to an ultimatum because Lanning blew up the original plan. It’s possible that his camp’s behavior is even worse than originally reported.

These already exist. Since Nico was among the first, nobody had thought of clauses like it yet. Teams are going to get smarter after every incident like this one. It's unfortunately a learning process.

I enjoy watching football! What some of these players don’t recognize is college football is watched by people rooting for their school, not because the product is so good (there’s a huge drop in quality from the NFL to college, even from the XFL to college) so if you’re only here for the money ( not your teammates, fellow students, not the fans) then I can go watch high school, middle school or even PeeWee football and be entertained

The level of drama doesn't match Tennessee though. Even 2 years ago, we had that NIL situation and defense quit on us against South Carolina that cost us title game. You have the Pruitt drama going on, etc. Just constant drama with this School.

The school and UT system are doing quite well. Record enrollment and millions in capital projects on every campus.

Joe has size and a big arm. Joe looked good in his Pats game and before says he played against walk ons no he didn’t. Joe gets way more hate than deserved.

That said some team may take a shot at Nico late but he’s not shown anything to be going first round.

Whole ordeal makes me appreciate Joe a lot more - team focused, played to the best of his ability, and the QB results on the field were not that different from Nico.
