We could have had Trevor himself, but Butch liked JG. Mindblowing. This reminds me of a similar situation that happened at Clemson after Trevor Lawrence committed to them. I never will forget listening to the radio broadcast when Dabo finally let Lawrence play. He did not start, but he finally came in for a series after Clemson was already up substantially. (Clemson's qb was the one that had already played in the national championship!) The crowd erupted when Lawrence came in, and it wasn't long before the previous qb transferred. And Clemson never looked back. We just might have the next Trevor. Stay tuned!
Folks don't need to be so defensive about this, I'd be stunned if the coaches didn't try to bulk him up some though. It would add to his considerable skill set if he could just tank out a tough couple of yards like Cam and make him more durable. Vince Young played at 6'5", 230 also, that's how I'm envisioning junior Nico could look.
If Manning wasn't his last name Arch would be be a solid 4 Star. Is there anyone here that would trade Nico for him? No way in hell I would.
Hey, I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you. My point is that neither ONE of them has played a down of P5 football. Branndon Stewart looked better than Manning early on, making haphazard plays with his legs......should I go on as to the prudence of being patient in assessments of young, high profile QBs?????All you have to do is watch them both and its pretty clear...In fact too clear.
Just Hope he can have that same poise and touch with SEC caliber defenders in his face. I think he will do fine, but you never know for sure until they suit up and take Gameday snaps against SEC size and speed.
But i think we have a great one in Nico
Patience? This is Volnation, we don't do that here.Hey, I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you. My point is that neither ONE of them has played a down of P5 football.
