Love a guy who wants the ball. you can see it in his actions. He def has a swagger. I think he was getting excited and pumped up just talking about it. hell i was too!

Thanks for the link to the vid. I confess to knowing almost nothing about him, but I do agree a spark is needed. Well probably more than a spark from the sounds of the last game. I was all set to watch it, but then the CBS feed we got here in Canada, yanked it off and I was left with no football to watch other than PAC 10. I really need to get back to TN!

I like Stephens he sounds like a player I really liked when he said "At this level there are a lot of guys who have the ability and talent but you gotta have it between your eyes" sorry Crompton thats what your missing.....I hope he plays lights out this weekend.

His attitude is night and day different than Crompton. Crompton's cocky, Stephens is confident.

i agree he sounds very confident that he can get the job done. hopefully he will get his chance after crompton throws his first incomplete 5 yr pass. which will b early in game.

He played 1 year of HS in Texas and he was rated as the number 15 QB in nation. Imagine how good he is now.

Well ok, so he's a doofus, but what about those who recruited him and all the great stuff he was supposed to have. Surely we didn't miss all that. Maybe the boy can't put it all together. Ah send him up here, maybe we can use for hockey or cleaning off the ice in between periods.

Honestly I think everyone is getting to exited about Stephens. The coaches see the qbs we dont. There has to be a reason why they did not start him before so don't get upset after he starts and does not perform to standards but hey anything is better then JC so thank god he is playing thou.

I can agree that the coaches and what not must see what we don't and surely to heavens above there is a reason why they haven't started him yet, but sometimes a change is a good thing.
