Let’s preface this by saying that Ted Cruz is probably more full of 💩 than most members of Congress so I’m not sure why Saban would even dignify him by meeting with him. Maybe it’s some committee he heads. Not sure. Check this link to Saban’s meeting in Congress today. Some funny stuff here.

One of the best quotes from Nick: “Things that I’ve believed in for 50 years don’t exist anymore.” Also, “whoever wants to raise the most money is going to win.”

Cruz said there’s a 50/50 chance that Congress passes legislation for the NCAA to get some control of the mess. I’ll believe that when I see it that Congress does anything.

I won’t listen to a moral speech from a dude who wouldn’t even suspend a player filmed hitting a woman

Neither party is interested in pissing off the constituents in their home states. Shouldn’t even come up in a vote.

Why is Ted Cruz full of 💩??? I’m assuming you think Biden won with “81 Million” votes too.

I find it ironic that a republican senator would want to regulate something
Par for the course, especially when it comes to Ted Caca. Saban? I think he still functions as a Bama agent, so two lying cheaters putting their heads together is, like I said, par for the course. Now, let's see if some NIL mumbo jumbo comes out of this.

I understand your sentiment. However …Ted Cruz would be way way WAY down the list of incompetent senators if we were to list them 1-100 ( 1 being the worst). You may despise the man…but no one I know that I respect would question his intellect. Political meandering aside…it will be interesting to see what congress does with the NIL issue.

You mean Cancun Ted right? Yeah he’s the epitome of a fine man.

As far as the 81 million votes, I don’t know about all of that controversy. I do know I’ve been waiting for over 3 years for ONE judge to rule there was any meaningful voter fraud. Get back to me when they do and we’ll discuss it.

If I had known they’d move this to the cesspool known as the Politics Forum, I wouldn’t have bothered. Never mind.

Let me Translate for Nick:
...when the money was given behind the scenes and we had a competitive advantage by doing it that way, I knew how to buy the best players.
When players were locked in to their school they chose as an 18 year old and I could stockpile four and five-star Talent three strings deep, coaching was a rewarding career.
But now that payment is out in the open, and players have the same ability to tranafer that coaches and other students have always had, I haven't yet figured out how to compete so I am no longer interested in coaching and the world that I thought I knew for 50 years has now changed and it's no fun anymore.

So Saban and Cruz are looking to have the government regulate the free movement and $ that goes to college athletes. What happened to "less government" and "free markets"?
