So for Nick it is ok if he gets guys from other staffs but don't come offer his guys a promotion to get them to come to your staff.

maybe he will cry when someone finally offers Butch a job and he has to get a new coffee/wax my car boy.
Too be fair, Little Nicky only fills his staff with coaches that other programs have fired. Kinda like Last Chance U for coaches.

The poaching accusation certainly doesn't apply to Pruitt who hired Ansley from the Raiders not from Alabama.

Edited: On first read, I noted that Saban did not mention Pruitt or Smart by name but as noted by volfrombama, Saban absolutely implies them by mentioning Tennessee and Georgia. Pretty revealing that Saban really thinks like this.

I guess it's all about what you're doing for me now vs what have you done for me in the past with him. He's getting old(not a knock , just a fact that he is in fact getting up there ) and cranky . He doesn't handle things well when they don't go his way anymore . Signal that it's probably time to enjoy life with his family and all the $ he's raked in. You can't stay king forever. This is one big example of why coaches that build winning programs in places like Clemson, Oregon, Utah , etc should stay there and ride it while they can. The SEC in particular is a meat grinder in every way and sustained success is incredibly difficult these days.

This article is click-bait baloney. As quoted in the article, Saban doesn't say anything about Pruitt or Smart directly just refers to unnamed assistants who leave and then poach Saban's other assistants. The poaching accusation certainly doesn't apply to Pruitt who hired Ansley from the Raiders not from Alabama.
You may want to read it again. He clearly calls out Tennessee and Georgia by name.

"It’s one thing that I always try to emphasize to the guys: what I have a tough time with, aight, is we’ve had however many guys who have worked here who are at Georgia, Tennessee -- whoever, wherever -- is when they get those jobs, and in most cases you’ve helped them, is they have a hard time understanding why they can’t take your people.”
