Boy, am I glad that correlation = causation. This settles it.
Not saying he won't help, but let's not get carried away with this.Sal coached DL and LBs. The DL and LBs won those two national titles for Bama. Sal Sunseri is going to help us win games this season. Couple that with our explosive offense and you've got a surprise team in college football come fall 2012.
Implying Sunseri is the reason for that national championship caliber defense is pushing it, IMO. He's good, but they also had lots of play makers and still had to be put in the right positions by the defensive coordinator.I agree. Show me someone who's comparing us to a national championship team first and then we'll bring up that argument.
It takes awhile to get the 3-4 down. They're probably going to struggle at first.

Sunseri was basically the co-coordinator at Bama. The front seven for Alabama caused several turnovers and made crucial stops because they were put in the right position. Go back and watch Bana's first title and notice how the front seven were rarely out of position. And that was Sunseri's first season.
You really aren't giving Saban enough credit. He's a defensive mastermind. Sure, he's got good coaching around him, but he's the reason every defense he has is so good.
