I can understand that. But still, because of the increase demand in money, something still isn’t right about his reasoning.

I will ease up on him when he refunds that premium money we paid him for less than premium production. Then to try and double dip this past cycle.

I honestly believe his father thought Nico was better than he was and, I think his father thought higher of himself as being a business person/negotiator/smart. I actually think he believes that us making it to a playoff game either increased Nico because it was his doing or, someone would pay big bucks for a playoff QB.

I think it’s the fathers fault more than the kids blame. I’ve seen stuff like this in the local high school football and basketball where the “dads” want attention.

He could have bought a house for his family to live in in Knoxville with all the money he left on the table. Afterall it would have just been a year or two more. In the NFL he could end up in New England or Buffalo.

Plus in the Knoxville, all you had to do was play decent for one more year and try your talents in the NFL. If so, you would have been a VFL and beloved in this city for the rest of your life. No one in southern Cal is going to care one bit about you the moment you dip out.

If it was about family then why was he reaching out to Oregon, Ole Miss, and Miami, amongst other programs nowhere close to LA and they all said “No thanks.”? Some people are so easily manipulated and that’s all that family is trying to do. Master manipulators…

Eggzactly, he took his father's advice which was terrible advice. He wanted Nico to get the kind of money ole what's his name got when he signed the huge deal with Miami. They kicked the tires of some other programs, tried flirting a bit in an effort to get either a better deal, or more money from UT and once the news broke Nico's dad got extremely butthurt and shut off all communication with UT. Also, a horrible ideal that ultimately backfired. And UT essentially told Nico and his dad to kick rocks, Heup was not playing that game and decided to move on.
