Nicco: “Come back home to family”

There hasn’t even been a single snap played since he left. I don’t think you are going to hear about it the rest of your life unless you are on death’s doorstep, but it is a very relevant topic for Tennessee football in 2025.
I think we have already heard too much about Nico and Boo. Time to let this stuff go until final decisions are made. Nico’s story is closed as far as I am concerned. Let it go. Nothing good will come from continuing the discussion.

What? Have you never heard of a 19 year old kid away at college being homesick? It happens all the time!

Did you not read the last part of the post?
Why didn't he immediately leave after the playoff game stating that claim? Why was there a attempted renegotiation of his NIL deal? If he's telling the truth, he would have never been around for spring practice up until the O&W game.

This is a dumbing down exposure

Nico had to settle for UCLA because no one else was willing to pay him what he was asking for or wanted to deal with his crap. If another school like Oregon for example would have paid, then he would have been playing for them. The whole going home stuff is a complete load of BS. It is pretty easy to tell that his whole plan back fired.
I wonder had he actually been good if they would have bought him?

Nothing good is going to come from discussing sports period. Personally I’m looking forward to discussing how bad the jackàss sucks at football without Tennessee fans tripping over themselves and lying to convince themselves he’s good like they did last year.

If you ask me, the family probably expected Heupel to clear the path for Madden. Unfortunately for them, Madden didn’t take the field his last year of HS while we have a stacked QB class in both 2025-26, so rightfully, Heupel recruited the highly ranked in state kid with the super recruit for 2026 next door in NC.

So Big Nic convinced sons to transfer to UCLa where Nico would clear the path for Madden.

Madden did play his senior year.
But we took GMAC over him anyway.

I thought he was ineligible due to transfer rules last year? I didn’t pay a lot of attention to him after GMac committed.

Point still stands that I personally think that had a huge influence on Big Nic pulling Nico’s strings.

I never thought Nico was worth the $2.4 million we were giving him but, I do think he is worth the $1.5 million UCLA is giving him. I think they will get a reasonable return on their investment. He does have some ability. He has experience. He may even be able to help them gain a recruit or two. So yeah, he’s worth that $1.5 to them. Honestly, I also think he would have been worth that same $1.5 to us. I just don’t see him worth $2 million of the $2.4 we were paying.

I think his replacement is actually worth, to us, $1.5 million and was worth that to UCLA had he stayed. Shoot, if I had been UCLA, hands down I would’ve given Nicco $1.5 too.

No one is doubting he has some extreme talent and showed it off at times. The other side of it is that he didn't have a clue recognizing pre snap looks and adjusting to it with that talent. After watching replays from last year, he seldom if ever stepped up 5 yards and nailed the open receiver. He telegraphed on almost every pass play when the was a blitz. Terrible anticipation and a lack of looking off a defense kept him from being a stud. He proved he could take a beating and be effective running against the best team in the country. Had no clue how to manipulate the offense like a BUNCH of the QBs we've had on the hill. No real loss

He did leave because of Family. Greedy, self-indulgent, ignorant family. Hope he starts listening to himself and ditches the baggage.

Now he is saying we (Tennessee fans) did not appreciate him or the two helmets he broke against Ohio State in the playoff game.

This is what I don’t get about people. He was paid $2 million dollars plus an education plus all of the benefits of playing for a top notch DI football program and yet he’s now complaining he wasn’t appreciated.

That’s bad.

Kid is still not getting any advice or if he is, it’s bad advice. He should not be commenting about any of this. His time to talk about it is years from now after he’s had a successful college and pro career, assuming that ever happens. Talking about it now just makes him look like a whiny ass kid.
