Former NFL quarterback Rich Bartel, now a high school football talent guru is calling this an "unbelievable pickup".

I love it.

Yes, Yes, Yes!!! So excited about these recruits. So excited about the ones we do have. I think McKenzie, Tuttle, and Kongbo is going to tear it up this year. It is just a gut feeling. Nigel Warrior is going to be a beast back there in the middle, or wherever he plays. Come on! Let’s gooooooioio!!! Whoooweeee!! John Kelly! Whooooo!!:p:):birgits_giggle:

I hope he is correct but I've never heard of Bartel- Where did this guy play & is he a NFL coach ? Surprised this kid is so far under the radar - We may have found a true difference maker

This guy is a coach at IMG Academy I think. Same school that Kingston Harris is from (just signed LOI) at UT.

He's got a great throw & mechanics but terrible stats (50% completion, equal TD/INT ratio). He's got the tools to be a good one. Time will tell.

I hope he turns out to be a good one but you're excessive use of emoticons is mildly disturbing.

well, the praise is good, I guess, but the proof is always in the pudding...we'll see...he'll get his chance to prove it...:)

Kid is a gunslinger for sure. Reminds me of Tyler Bray, be he has a much quicker motion, amazingly fast release, and moves well for a tall guy.

No telling how many of those interception were receiver related and since he only played the one year you can't expect perfection between the two.

Like his interviews, he tells it like it is, "I like to sling the rock, and I can do it as well as anyone".

Folks gushed over Mac based on his camps, too. Kongbo was a physical freak. Darden was a starter the day he steps on campus. The list is endless. Until these kids step on the field and do it vs SEC opposition, it's all talk and hyperbole. I'll wait a bit before anointing the kid.

That one comment alone when he says, "I like to sling the rock" further let's me know that this staff plans to employ more of a down field passing game. And this guy seems perfect for it, I love it and can't wait.

The kid throws a great ball, lots of zip, perfect mechanics, and he shows a lot of confidence in his arm. The wheels are a big plus.

I find it very telling that all the raving we keep hearing about was from a camp and I haven't seen one such report of his play since he actually played in a real game. Stats in this case mean much much more that what some scouts said at a camp.

Article gave some stats; from his only season as a starter (seems that HS is some kind of QB factory) citing over 3000 yards with like 27 TDs and 25 pickoffs if memory serves. The INTs need to go down but this can be coached. Overall pretty impressive IMHO.
