NFL Games Thread 2017 edition

Chiefs/Cowboys

Perfect kick by VFL Colquitt but botched by the coverage guys - knocked into the end-zone for a touchback.

is it too little too late for this pro freedom nfl campaign? Seems a little desperate. I will say the games this week have been more appealing in terms of quality.

Easy td Raiders.

The Dolphins using Cutler is nonsensical he's a irrefutable bust. Not every qb is another Alex Smith but that doesn't stop head coaches from wasting time and games.

I know it's not going to happen, but they need to cut these Thursday games. The games are terrible and they're oversaturing big time. And most of these Thursday uniforms are terrible.

This is what I would do.

First four weeks everyone plays Sunday or Monday. Have your regular Thursday night game to open the season.

Week five you start divisional byes. All four teams of a certain division go on a bye. Then starting in week 6, you play a Wednesday night game and a Thursday night game through eight weeks with each of those games being a division game from the division that had the bye the previous week.

Example: Week five byes would be Dallas, Washington, Philly, and New York

Then in week 6, the Cowboys play the Giants...The Eagles would play Washington.

So you get 16 midweek games, important machups, and the players will have ample rest in between games for good football.

They still get really good ratings.

I love the uniforms. Can't believe others don't. Sometimes they're bad.

Players are complaining about the short prep. Here is what I would do. TNF starts after bye weeks begin and they have to add WNF to fit every team in.

So the popular teams would get an extra prime time game:

Sunday
bye
Wednesday
Thursday

So they would get layoffs of 10 days, 8 days, and then 9 days.

The unpopular teams would go

Sunday
bye
Wednesday or Thursday

And so they get 10 or 11, then 10 or 9 days off.

So this means instead of 16 TNF games, you'd have like 10 TNF and 10 WNF.

I know people think over-saturation is a thing, but I don't think it is. I don't think they become more profitable by eliminating 16 prime time games. No way.

Damn, pretty much same plan.
