I heard Wade just had a solid combine. 4.38 for 40, and 40''+ vertical. I am not sure if this is the official number or not, but if it's true, it's definitely a plus for him.

4.36 forty and a 40 1/2 vertical. This came from a website. It's awesome for him.

He looked good in the drills where you backpedal and turn your hips diagonally at the coachs order, then locate the ball in the air and catch it at the highest point. He drew some good comments from Deion Sanders and Mike Mayock.

Most impressive cornerback by far was Chris Houston the kid for Arkansas that gave Meachem fits. He ran a 4.32 and did 27 bench press reps, most by a DB by far. He was ripped too.

Jonathan Wade, Meachem and Turk McBride will all be 1st rounders.

Sears and Harrell in 2nd round. Harrell could move up because his position does go fast, and he has nice size at 305lbs.

I don't see how in the world Turk McBride could be a first round pick. He only started for one year, right? That same year UT had it's worst rush defense in decades. I think he's a pretty good player, but his stock was hurt by him being forced to play DT. I think if he's going to play in the NFL, it will be at DE. I think Wade is good, too. However, there are quite a few good DBs in the draft this year. I don't think he'll make the first round cut.

Actually, the word is that moving inside actually helped his stock because even though he projects as a DE, he was able to show versatility.

I understand that. Still, I bet Justin Harrell could have played DE just as well as McBride played DT. It's not like McBride was anywhere near dominant last year.

How in the world? He was one of the best defensive linemen in the SEC last year. He had one of the best combines for any defensive lineman. And yes, I do think he will be an end.

McBride will either be a rotational player in a Cover 2 scheme, or he could add 10 or so lbs. and play a DE in a 3-4 as well. I don't think he has the quickness of the edge that 4-3 teams are looking for from the DE position.

And there is no way Wade and McBride go higher than Sears and Harrell. Sears and Harrell are borderline 1st/2nd round guys, while Wade and McBride are borderline 2nd/3rd rounders.

I agree completely. But just the fact that he moved inside probably helps his stock a little.

Pro Football Weekly magazine has Sears as the #1 Guard and Harrell as the #3 DT. I don't see Turk or Wade going before those guys.

Dude, you drank more than I did tonight. Meach is a 1st rounder, and Harrell and Sears are late first/early second picks.

Wade is a late 2nd early 3rd and Turk is a 4th or 5th rounder.
