You are right, i forgot he didn't play against Missouri, I can't bring myself to re-watch such a horrible ass beating that i experienced in person..

He definitely played against Florida and Alabama and was absolute trash in both games. Go watch the Florida game, one of the worst QB performances I have ever seen. Even threw a pick to a defensive lineman. YIKES. That's your QB:cool:
He played about a half vs Fla. So can't say he didn't score a td. He didn't finish the game.

Also they were a top ten team last year. Not to mention the line play in the UF game causing the turnovers.

He played one quarter vs Bama. He was responsible for the first td. He drove the team down the field then got hurt. KC got an easy one that JG setup.

But once again he played about one quarter. Can't complain about a qb not scoring while literally playing one quarter vs one of the top 2 teams in the nation.

Real genius there.

JG didn't play the whole game against florida so we could score a td!
JG threw 12 td's the whole season, that's trash and nobody gives a s*** about his completion percentage because throwing slants, prayers and screens didn't help us win anything.
5 star heart, matt simms ability

Rucker: NFL Combine invites prove mess Pruitt inherited

A snippet or two from the article......

“Last year’s five new SEC coaches sent a grand total of 33 players to the combine. None of those five came from Tennessee. That is staggering.”

“Only one program in the SEC failed to send at least one player to the NFL Combine, and that program was Tennessee. Every other program sent at least two, and every other program aside from Vanderbilt sent at least four.

Many of you were furious when the Vols ran out of gas late last season and got boat-raced by Missouri and Vanderbilt, but those Tigers are sending six players to the NFL Combine, and those Commodores are sending the aforementioned pair. Those teams had more talent than Tennessee. They were better football teams with better football players. Full stop.”
As if we needed more reasons to hate Lyle.

Recruiting rankings from 2015-18:

Mizzou - 25th, 43rd, 43rd, 43rd
Vanderbilt - 49th, 54th, 65th, 41st
Tennessee - 4th, 14th, 17th, 21st

It'd be one thing to struggle like we have with multiple recruiting classes ranked in the 50s nationally. But we don't. Even Butch's 2017 recruiting class, which wasn't very good at all (Trey Smith single-handedly saved it from being considered downright bad), was ranked 26 spots higher than Mizzou's and 48 spots higher than Vandy. It is absolutely staggering how little the former coaching staff got out of that talent.

This downfall we're still in sucks so badly because we have trouble beating teams like Mizzou, Vandy, South Carolina, etc. who we consistently recruit better than. Tennessee is supposed to have more talent, much more talent, than Vanderbilt. Yet we don't beat them. The recruiting rankings say we should get reamed by Alabama, Georgia, etc., and we do, but they also say we should be competitive with Florida and win more than we lose against the rest of the conference. The fact that we haven't shows just how bad the development has been.

Back in Fall camp I was assured we had all kinds of talent then it just sorta evaporated.

Well this doesn't bode well for Quarte Sapp now does it?

Or is the Combine only for Seniors?

Everyone has a right to their opinion. No matter how wrong or ignorant it may be.

Against Missouri, when JG was in the game they were challenging us to throw the ball farther than 5 yards because they knew we can't execute.

The next play JG didn't read the defense because he was tunnel visioned onto his receivers and got blasted by a free blitz. #9 was walking down to the line before the snap in an obvious blitz posture and blitzes, and The linebacker #47 was on a dog blitz(covering the short rb pass while also blitzing). Yes the RB should have picked the blitz up, but JG needs to be aware of the blitz and alert his RB....on this play JG NEVER EVEN LOOKED to the left side of the field.

He got put out of the game because he is so "Tough" and has such a high football IQ.

Imagine thinking a dual threat QB with 1 career rushing touchdown is elite

o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O
Imagine trying to make this ignorant point when literally everyone knows JG is not a dual threat QB. He was clearly mislabeled a DT coming out of HighSchool.

Heck fire, folks! Some of us were on here SCREAMIN' this truth for everyone to read all during the season last year and endured the abuse from those posters who have NEVER played the game and don't know jack-shizz about football! All we heard was:

1. The COACHES were just throwing the kids under the bus;
2. No wonder our kids don't want to play with effort...our coach keeps saying that we don't have the talent to compete yet;
3. We had enough talent to play better against Vandy...
4. Wow, look how stupid our coaches are---they can't even muster more than 14 points against Charlotte.....yada, yada, yada!

Some of us already KNEW what the NFL scouts have confirmed.....Only 1 or 2 teams in the entire SEC had worse talent than we did across the board last year.

So, you will ask, just how did we beat KY?

1. They were down coming off the HUGE, disheartening loss to UGA; and
2. Our Defensive genius of a HC knew how to render them ONE-DIMENSIONAL on offense.

We got some decent offensive play and...bad-a-bing, bad-a-boom....we WIN at home.

We couldn't do that to Mizzou or Vandy.

It's just LAUGHABLE!

And you can call me whatever names you have to in attempts to make yourselves feel better.

CJP and crew KNOW the game...and CJP WILL GET US to the SEC championship game....sooner rather than later.

CJP has had to do a "frame-off" restoration of this program.....and he's still in progress....

GO VOLS!
