NFL.Com Top 100 4 Vols. Dobbs #8

Numbers for the 40 yd dash. That's how! Have you not see there 40 yd times? You can tell on the field as well that Dobbs is just the faster runner.

That throwback pass last season to Dobbs when he ran down the sideline against Florida to score a TD Watson would have been caught on that play. He's just not as fast! Look up their 40 times & you'll see!

True. He was smoking down the field that play. Outran first round pick Keanu Neal with ease.

I would say Watson is faster by these numbers, but, basically a wash.

Those are not real numbers. These are simply guesses.

The last time Watson and Dobbs ran 40s was as high school juniors at the Opening. Since then both have changed their bodies quite considerably.

That's exactly what I was trying to get at with some of these other guys. These would have been numbers from years ago anyhow. Dobbs is faster. They can believe whatever they want.

No, what are they? Go ahead and cut and paste some of their times off the internet.....that'll prove it.

As far as you saying Watson would've been caught, it's purely your subjective opinion. No way to prove it. Dobbs is plenty fast and I thought he was just outstanding running the ball vs Florida in particular. But Watson runs it pretty damn good himself....most qbs who run for 1,100+ yards in a season usually are.

I think his potential is through the roof but I've seen him disappear during SEC games. Most of his stats are padded against weak opponents until he dominates SEC games I'm not heralding him as a top 5 player. Just my opinion

Are you referring to Derek Barnett in regard to disappearing during SEC games? In both of his seasons combined he's had 20 sacks. 17 of those sacks have come during conference play and 27 out of his 33 tackles for loss have come during SEC play. Struggling to see how his stats are padded against weak opponents. After looking at those numbers, I would conclude that conference games are where he shows up the most. Hard to argue with those numbers, but to each his own.

Considerably?

ESPN has both of them almost identical to those numbers. With Dobbs putting on a couple more pounds.

But until you have something new you go with the old. I WILL believe whatever I want and encapsulated in those beliefs is one that thinks yours and D4H's "eye test" is notoriously unreliable. Neither one of these guys is significantly faster than the other. Hope you guys can steel yourselves for that revelation. :hi:

Reading comprehension fail.

I said they changed considerably from their high school days. Both guys are about 215 pounds now. They both came to college as 180 pound kids.

Both have added about 30 pounds of muscle.

If you can't see that then you need to stop talking to us about football.

That only proves you can't see anything. You're just a box score reader. You don't have an eye for football while it's being played.

Dobbs is easily the more explosive athlete and anyone with an eye for talent can see it.

Haha. Perfect form. This from the guy who told us that Guarantano is much faster than Dobbs about 18 months ago after watching his high school HUDL film vs a bunch of NewJersey kids. Who you got now?

And based on that incredible eye of yours, give the exact time from each of these players. Carry it on out to the 1/1,000th of a second would ya? For example, Dobbs runs a 4.127, JG a 4.026 and Watson a 5.328.

Lol. Good God you're a joke.
