He is really, really good. I think VOL fans don't want to give him his due because Barnett is so underrated usually.

I think his potential is through the roof but I've seen him disappear during SEC games. Most of his stats are padded against weak opponents until he dominates SEC games I'm not heralding him as a top 5 player. Just my opinion

I agree. He is more of the 10-20 range. Potential would place him top 5 though. Actual production is about 10-20.

Scouts don't know sheet. Chad Reuter has been spot on with his mock drafts over the years............

8. Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee (6-3, 207)
Scouts and draft analysts will pick apart Dobbs' game, saying he's a one-read-and-run guy. I'm going to bank on the fact that his intelligence (aerospace engineering major) and athleticism will make him a top standout.

Unless he VASTLY improves his passing game he won't be drafted.

I think he will get drafted based on intelligence/intangibles alone. He is the kind of player worth drafting late as a project at a minimum. How high he gets drafted depends on the improvement in his passing.

Yes, and both will have longer NFL careers than JD.

I'll never understand why everyone insists on insulting our QB and sometimes even bashing him. If he gets hurt you all will change your tune quickly whenever you see how less functional our offense is without him

Just giving more bulletin board material to a guy that doesn't really need it. If Barnett's motor wasn't in overdrive already then it sure will be now. For a guy that never takes a play off, I'm not sure he's going to like being 42nd in anything. I'm expecting a historic season from that young man and I'm certain he's going to love proving a lot of so called "experts" wrong this season. And also Myles Garrett will end up being Clowney 2.0. Top pick talent but once he cashes in on that NFL contract he will not perform up to expectations and will be "injured" all the time.

How is that insulting or bashing? Is it insulting to Hurd to say LF is a better back? There is no insult in pointing out that while JD is a great college QB, and we are lucky to have him, that 2 others are more skilled in what the NFL wants in a QB.

I stated this before, yet, some here are to blind, or hardheaded to admit. The NFL and college games are vastly different when looking at QB's.

In no way is this bashing or an insult, it is called reality.
