I work with Oregon Athletics and this last weekend was so incredibly impressed with Neyland, the fans, UT in general, the whole city of Nashville and really the great state of Tennessee. Everything bigtime's new friends said about their experience there (see below) I agree with 100%. Your fans are top notch, and an inspiration to programs like ours who are just developing an important heritage. That stadium is amazing. Yes, Autzen is loud, but Neyland is at least as much of a weapon, and maybe even more with the sheer numbers. We had the worst seats in the house (end zone, back row) and they were great. We could see everything, plus the view of the waterfront was incredible. Driving around the state I found the forests unexpectedly very beautiful, which is a very difficult compliment for an Oregon boy to utter. Mostly I was impressed with the people. Very few were hostile (there are always a few) but having been to many other big away games, I would say that the Vol fans are some of, if not the kindest, most inclusive, welcoming and dignified that I have ever seen. Please come to Eugene and let us extend the same hospitality!
