I was walking by Neyland stadium this morning on the way to my office, when all of a sudden music started blasting from the stadium speakers. Not just music though, music coupled with crowd noise. Like a school girl I ran up Peyton Manning Pass, and found a spot where I could see the Jumbotron. I was treated to about a 6 minute clip of 2010, er.....2009 highlights, set to some pretty decent music. Now I'm not one to go jumping out of my seat for just anything, especially Heavy Metal or Country music, but the stuff they were playing was decent (LL Cool J's "Don't Call it a Comeback" set to some pretty nasty guitars).

After the clip was over I was damn near ready to go run through the T myself. Unfortunately my dissertation is in some serious need of work.

I posit it was either a recruit, or they're testing out pre game videos. If its the latter, be ready to be treated this year. We may go 5-6, but you'll be pumped up for every game.

Geez, way to give it legs. Pete Thamel just read this and will connect us to the Agent-Gate by noon.

At first I was going to ask you how we're going to look and whether or not we are going to get to a bowl game, but on second thought, no spoilers please

I would love to see some 2010 Highlights. Hammy must have the hook-up with
Captain Kirk for time travel...:)

If Mr. Econ was pumped watching them, we have alot to look "forward" to.

So I'll bring this back to the original discussion I was hoping to start, before my faux pas.

Tennessee's pregame has been lame for years, seems to cater to the grandpas in the stadium. After seeing Alabama's, Auburn's, LSU's, Florida's, ours pales in comparison. I hope what I saw was the pre-game, because we may finally have a decent one.

I'm sure they're just testing it out. I noticed that the Jumbotron was on yesterday morning also.

Are you simply talking about what is played on the jumbotron? If so, our pregame is performed on the field.

It's not a Kid Rock concert, it's Tennessee
Football.

Jeeze.

You miss my point. I agree our band is our main pregame, but showing a highlight video set to some decent uptempo music (NOT KID ROCK) doesn't take away from Tennessee football.

But you're right, I always get jacked up to "Stars and Stripes Forever"!
