I agree with you there.
Auburn: Campus was very nice but the speakers sounded busted in the stadium and they played music over them WAY too much.
Arkansas: Fans were the worst. Only part of that trip I liked was the Ozarks and seeing them do the Pig Sooey. Stadium was ok.
I was going to post something about that in the other response but I decided to leave it out. Now I'm glad to see somebody else mention it because at the '09 UT/AU game the stadium was so quiet all I could hear were those stupid awful sounding pain generators. It's like they were trying to pump 100000 watts of audio through a couple of pa horns and all they got was absolutely horrible distortion.
I've also been out to Fayetteville, Ark. for our game against them in '95. I was actually impressed by the campus setting. The stadium was a little "small time" compared to Neyland, but the weather was gorgeous and we had a nice view of the Ozarks. We sat in the heart of the season ticket section, so I got to witness some of their best fans first hand. One biker gang looking guy who was sitting in front of us told me he didn't like me or Tennessee at all but at the end of the game he did say he respected our team after Peyton lit them up. One day I'd like to go back and see us play there again.
