after this step is over, its time for a 2nd upper deck! :)

:good!:

ha, yeah bring it on! lets put another 10,000 seats in there, we can do it. make the press box wrap all the way around the stadium, add a few seats, do something. what are we, third largest? michigan and penn state i think are the only two ahead of us (but i may be wrong) the big house is a little over 110,000, and beaver stadium is about 109-110,000...that ive been to.

I managed to shoot the pic over the thousands of Phish Phans walking around with glass beer bottles, so apparently the drinking restrictions aren't all too tight!

There is an equal chance of the police raiding the "market" at Bonnaroo as there is the KPD or UTPD issuing 20k citations on a gameday. There's too much monetary benefit involved for both Manchester and Knoxville city for any competent city official to allow that to happen. They'll continue ingnoring anyone not acting like a drunken arse.

And as others have said, we've heard this every year. I drink every year right in front of a UT cop at our tailgating spot and she says nothing, other than reminding us to keep it in a Dixie Cup.

September can't come fast enough! I can't wait until the first game, all day tailgate party, Jack Daniels, burgers, brats, hot coeds!! Yeah baby!!!

That being said, have they set a time for the Western Kentucky game yet?

Is anything ever going to be done with seating? Couldnt they put those seats with backs in every spot or put long cushions on the benches?

The big article that came out in spring was that they were cutting down drinking on the strip. Its all about citations. $100 bucks x's 20,000 is alot of revenue for KPD a weekend. KPD are about of Nazi douchebags dying to beat up a college kid.

Make sure to pour everything into a solo cup. I am sure they will just look for the guys holding bottles and cans

I would rather get bleacher ass than sit on those seats with backs and cushions on them. They are so uncomfortable IMO

Are you talking about that flat feeling you get after a 4 hour game, were the feelling doesn't come back til you walk 1.5 miles back to your truck?:)

I heard police are not going to allow any drinking on gameday at any tailgate party, on campus or off-campus. The only legal drinking will be in bars that pay for a liquor license. I know a guy who rents a tailgate parking lot and the cops told him that this year, any open container anywhere in the city will be cited for some big money.

I don't think they will do that....Too many tailgaters that don't go to the game will quit coming....JMO

True that....I guess I don't like them though because they usually just get in my way, I hardly ever sit when I go to a game

I stand as much as I can but I have 2 nice older gentlemen behind me every year and they can't stand and sit multiple times a game so I always try and make sure they have a sightpath to the field even when I am standing. They never complain about me standing in their way and are very friendly. :good!:
