well we better do that then, cause i think we need to expand and get to the biggest, our huge stadium is one of our trademarks at tennessee and we are just gonna sit here and let one of our biggest rivals make theirs bigger than ours? i mean i know 100,000 is a lot but ive been to games with 108 so why not atleast keep it there
For you maybe; I am hoping that we will be able to point to championships as a source of pride.
I think Neyland's comforts are apparently too great, judging from all the permanently seated fans.
The seats really aren't too small. We just have too many fat fans.
There was a story awhile back in which Hamilton claimed that, according to some sort of unspecified "research," he believed that it was important from a recruiting standpoint to be over 100,000, but that it didn't matter how much over 100,000 we were. No idea whether that was actually based on anything, or whether Hamilton was just pulling it out of his hindquarters to justify the construction projects he'd already decided to do.
Seats under the jumbotron or anywhere on the upper deck are extremely tight. You cant sit without knees in your back or shoulder to shoulder. I would enjoy standing the whole game but others dont agree with me.
Cant argue with the fat fans. Every fan base has got em....ours just need to paint there bellies a little more often to make the camera shots around the stadium a little more enjoyable.
When you get to the 100K I don't think it really matters if someone else has 5,000 more fans or not. It's kind of moot at that point.
Just be proud to be in the 100K club since it's exclusive enough as is.
One fat guy can definitely screw up an entire row . . . but I don't think there's any doubt that the seats are an inch or two more narrow than they need to be.
How is it a downgrade other than losing a few seats? Up until recent years, it was little more than an erector set built around an antiquated stadium and had zero architectural appeal.
