I didn't know that Penn States stadium held that many. It sure doesn't look like it from the picture.

Good luck to ya, I was at Camp Hovey (right beside Casey) in 90 when Sadam invaded Kuwait. Long, long 18 months.

Depends on your outlook. 2ID is almost all at Casey and Hovey now, when I was there i was at Camp Garryowen, which is now a ROK base, up north in a backwater town, even by Korea standards. That place made Casey and TDC look like Manhattan.

After our DMZ tour we moved from Howze to Hovie and it was like the Jefferson's "Moving on up"..... I'm sure everything has changed in 18 years but Casey wasn't that bad.

I'm not sure if they closed Howze or not..We stole a guidon from an Engineer company there while waiting for the bus, spoils of war.

I think they turned it over to the ROK, didn't miss the place it was up hill no matter where you went.

We stole a goat from (think engineer) a unit at Hovey and painted 1/5 on both sides. That was an unexpected rukus.

Yeah, but the average nK citizen is about half the size of the average American (well, about 1/3 the size of most here in Pa...) so you can fit twice the people in the same space. You'd fill it on one of your sell out days, we'd have about 40k standing outside!:good!:

Largest, but not the best by far....I went to Beijing in 2008, and the 'Bird's Nest' (#21) and 'Water Cube' have to be the coolest stadiums/arenas anywhere in the world. The architecture is unbelievable!

That # 2 stadium in India looks really small. I guess they cram 'em in there like they do in their cities.

I remember channel surfing and stopping on a Duke home game. Announcers were trying to hype the fans and talking about tailgaiting at Duke. Over a 60 second piece they show the same 6 fans in an empty parking lot but from different angles to give the illusion there are a bunch of people.

Anybody ever wish we were in the Big 10 and could be ranked in the top 10 every year (except this year of course)?

Back in the day when we all sat outside in the sun and rain, before all the luxury boxes, we'd put 108K in the seats and still have some folks coming in. That would put us up to 4th today. Not saying we need to get rid of the boxes, just need to cram about 8000 more seats in them (yes, in the boxes) so we can get to #1!

These lists almost always indicate that the stadiums are "Non-Racing Stadiums". Otherwise it would be dominated by Indy and NASCAR tracks. Bristol is nowhere near the largest NASCAR capacity, but would be #1 on this list.

I think Bristol (158,000) is 3rd overall behind Indy and Daytona (167,000).
