I haven’t been in Neyland since they flipped the Home and Away and was hoping to gain some insight.

I wanna take my girls to their first game and thought a gator ass whooping would be the perfection introduction.

As far as seating I’m hoping to avoid the FL band and concentrations of FL fans. No clue where they are designated to sit.

Anybody ever sit in Q or Z? Thanks!

Few things. One, thinking that you’ll be able to pick and choose seats for UF isn’t realistic. Two, I’m done with games like this. Didn’t renew. After the Ole Miss game last year, I’d rather sit next to opposing fans than our student section. I had on a white hoodie and was being berated by drunk UT students who thought I was an Ole Miss fan. Luckily we left before the mele insued. Take them to a less important game to introduce them to the experience. Theyll enjoy it much more.

I still have our seats in Y7 row 44, but also now 2 in the new V section, row 3. I dont know how to feel about it, I love that end zone view. Grew up on football console games so that's what I'm accustomed to seeing.

My suggestion in taking young children to their first game is to take them to anon conference game that we should win. No pressure on the adults and kids can just go to Vol Village and enjoy all the pre game stuff.

Agree 1000%. Did not takes kids to an SEC game until this year and it was SCar so pretty tame crowd.

I would love to accommodate but I actually have a plan for them. A Tennessee montage in my living room. I have incredible memorabilia about to come out of storage and displayed. It only took 15 years to convince my wife and at the end of the day the time of convincing was over…….

I’ve been to many games and can honestly say I’ve never seen anything that would make me not wanna take my kids.

You are lucky then. I’ve been to at least 75% of the games the past 15 years. I have seen a fight break out at the majority of conference games. A few years ago a Florida fan sitting next to me took a few swings at a TN 3 rows in front of me and nearly knocked my wife (she was 5 months pregnant at the time) over climbing over people and was taken away by police (we were in section W). Last year at the Georgia game, a fight broke out 8 rows in front of us and there was blood all over the place (section B). Last year at the Kentucky game, a fight broke out in our section between 2 fans and they were escorted out (at Kroger Field in Lexington). These are only a few of the stories. I’ve found that non conference games are far better for taking kids. I don’t take them to any conference games anymore. Just my opinion.

This will be our first year in section D, row 56; used to be in E,54 about 10 rows behind students. One time 10 years ago at night Ga. game drunk student threw up. At a hot Fl.game during Jones era some drunk young people were pretty profane the first half and a former player's mother was escorted out for throwing a punch. For the most part over the decades, it's been fine.
