Neyland says Bama doesn't have a chance!

I posted back at the beginning of May asking for prayers for my son. He was born at 33 weeks and was born with an omphalocele (stomach, intestines, and liver were in a sack outside his abdomen). Well he is doing wonderful and way ahead of the curve of what the doctors even expected. He's a very healthy happy baby boy! He's watched every game with me so far and the Vols of course have been undefeated for the entirety of his little life! Oh, and for anyone that missed it the first time, his name is Neyland! My wife and I along with family and friends have declared him Tennessees good luck charm (even though the team doesn't know haha). But thanks Vols family for everyone who saw my original post and send your thoughts and prayers our way....it was much appreciated.....GO VOLS, beat BAMA!View attachment 500067
Fine looking young man.

Thank you so much....my wife and I are super proud of him. We tried for 7 years to get pregnant, we did IVF and it failed....then a few months later we got pregnant naturally....so needless to say he is our pride and joy.
We tried for about that long before our twins (born 34 weeks).. the struggle to get them just makes you love on them that much more.. mine are 18 now and the joy of my life (when they aren’t acting like teenagers lol)

How does one even go about submitting the heartwarming stories to gameday? My wife asked me about that and I'd never even thought about it. Would be awesome to have him be able to see himself on TV as a baby when he's older.

I have no idea. Maybe a twitter DM? Not sure who is checking those 🤷‍♂️

I love to see young parents raising their children right. Wonderful story and handsome little guy!
Amen! "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
I missed the original post, but praise God for what he has done; and continued prayers for little Neyland and his family.

Thank you for sharing. Incredibly awesome. Omphalocele is no joke.

Was he taken care of at ETCH?

Prayers for continued health.

We actually live in NC. We're about 30 mins west of Charlotte. I'm a Tennessee fan through my dad, he grew up in Dayton and moved here for work when he became an adult. He worked literally 80 hours a week when I was growing up but he always made sure we got to watch the Tennessee game together....so Tennessee football is very sentimental and a family affair for me haha. To get back to where he was taken care of though, Levine childrens hospital is where he was at which is part of Atrium main in Charlotte.

Get those kids dressed in Tennessee Orange!

I'm really happy for all of y'all.

VFL...GBO!!!
We have tried and tried to find him some Tennessee orange that would fit. We found him some he can't fit into yet but have yet to find anything in 3-6m size range.
