Neyland Renovations

Everything looks amazing. The biggest difference we will all notice is the renovated and wider concourses to help move that congested traffic that we are all used to.

I cannot wait until they start the exterior renovations of bricking in Neyland. The master plans look pretty amazing.

Those pictures are awesome. I do have one question, though...why so much black in the Peyton Manning Locker Room? Is this a harbinger of the black jerseys? :birgits_giggle:

So, I obviously saw the pictures, but does anyone know exactly which areas were renovated and which remain unfinished? I know it is being done over the next 10 years or so but I was just wondering if anyone knows EXACTLY what was finished this off season?

Brickwork around the interior of the stadium at field level. The Letterman Lounge and Media Center. The locker room. Concourse widening from sections R thru W. New mezzanine with concessions and restrooms from sections R thru W.

The outside of the stadium still looks the same. Unless you have tickets for the lower bowl, sections R thru W, you'll only notice the field level brick work this year from the stands.

What a great recruiting tool!!!
Exactly what I was thinking, though that is obviously the point.

Is the 300% increase in women's restrooms part of this phase? The women in the family have been waiting for that part. :birgits_giggle:

I heard it was, and hope so!

The locker room must be quite a sight for the high school recruits to behold. . . .pretty sure that was the intention!

I'm asking my wife for a replica 15-foot Power T ceiling emblem for Christmas. It would make a great addition to the "man room."

The company I work for manufactured and installed that fixture. Let your wife know that we can help her mark this off of her to do list.

I have to give JG props. I was in the stadium about 4 weeks ago and I was skeptical whether or not everything would get wrapped up in time. Things are looking great in there and the GC and subs deserve a ton of credit. I can't wait to see the next phase!

by the time most of the renovations are complete, i can't imagine another stadium in the country that can compete with neyland's size and aesthetics.

i'm still curious as to why the football team's locker room has the junior urinal. Did anyone figure it out the first time we saw it?

It is a handicap accessible urinal. They are required by modern building codes and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
