Listen, I'm gonna be as judgy as I want to be this time around. I've been far too willing to accept the crap burgers we've been fed for the last decade. And this guy is a bammer. It only makes sense to judge him. My understanding is that he isn't known for his dedication to his wife, so it likely isn't off base to assume that his body language is indicative of his character.

I still think many are so dumpster fire fatigued that it's easy to get enthused about a viable possibility.

Tbh, I still smdh at the whole thing...just too many questions but I'll probably never have many answers however I do hope some come along.

To everyone singing his praises, can you help walk me back from the ledge re: how come no one else wanted this guy but he's a home run hire for us??

We didn't choose him, he chose us he said? Looks nobody else chose him either unless I'm missing something. Was he on any of you guys list two weeks ago?

I want to believe :blink::blink:

After hearing his press conferences and seeing the staff he’s already assembled, maybe Pruitt won’t be bad of a hire as I thought he would be.

I’m still skeptical to see what he can do on the field.

I’m willing to eat crow if he turns out to be a Grand Slam.

I'm with ya...I didn't like this hire but he is winning me over. What will get me all in is dependent on how the staff shapes up. The fact that he is country as cornbread and sounds like us is another positive. I'm feeling good about it. We got to be patient and let him recruit, build his roster. ..then I think we may have something here

I’m cautiously optimistic that Pruitt will do well with the right staff. The guy is high energy and apparently loves the kids he’s coaching. I will forgive his Ala.. background when I see him high fiving and jumping up and down after he stomps Satan’s arse🤗

Ok, gotcha. Would you like to cast the first stone?

Seriously? You’re in the thread formerly known as Gruden. Most of the folks in here have now been on this ride more than once, the last time being the most exhausting coaching search in history. We’re all obviously still disappointed so perhaps poking the bear isn’t such a good idea tonight.

This.

Coach Pruitt calling everyone out to step up, look forward, and do your part. Let's start locking down them recruits! Oh and notice how he said you have to be flexible and play your best players... the ANTI-butch...

WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Yep. Powerful men don't get there without the backing and support of strong women. Smart ones treat those women with the highest regard and respect. That isn't what the picture showed.

My wife backs and supports me because I tell her to. She's very obedient.

Look forward to hearing what you think after meeting him. I was pretty impressed with Pruitt after the presser - admittedly the bar is set pretty low right now. All in all, I'm a UT fan & alum. I got emotional watching Fulmer at the presser, I believe he loves UT a much as I do. This probably won't go over well in this thread, but Pruitt may turn out to be better than Gruden (& I was at 98% Gruden). It is what it is. I'm glad Schiano isn't our coach.
Haven't checked, but have any of the insiders checked back in besides Beaver, Knuck (& I think I saw Boro earlier). I'm not one to be mad, figure it's on me if I believed in something that was a lie. I tend to think it was mostly all true except Gruden never was back on board after Schiano Sunday. Biggest thing I wonder about is what, if anything, was signed on 11/14. I do believe something happened at Blackberry Farms.

He didn’t set the bar low. From what I heard him say he expects to win and win soon. ( not saying u meant he set the bar low ) Just an observation.

Just watched the presser for the 3rd time, and yes, I think we'll be back, it might not be next year, I'm not sure we quite have the depth yet, but we'll be back ... too many things sounding like sound football stuff going on ... I'm still cautiously optimistic, but no way am I pessimistic ... and yea, I'd have liked to have Gruden, IF he had his heart in it but I don't think he would have at this point, not seeing how it turned out I don't, sorry if that disappoints anyone ... fire away, I was Gruden all along too

You guys may have already discussed this, but I'm coming in late tonight. Anyone else think Phil just wasn't himself tonight?

CJP’s question of chilvary/character was brought up in here chief.
