"Re: Tennessee is officially offered Pruitt
IMO, we will find out quickly if the marriage between Pruitt and Fulmer can succeed. I would guess that JP demanded full control and specific resources in writing; and if anyone will insist on those promises being kept, it is JP. Hiring his own OC seems to indicate that is what he did. IMO, he will not stand for Fulmer or anyone else to interfere in any way. He's the type to literally tell Fulmer or Haslam to get out of his office if they get in his way. It's hard to know anything for sure when an asst is promoted to HC, but JP is driven, very smart, confident, ruthless and puts up with no nonsense. He is not polished and his people skills are sometimes lacking, though he does seem to have matured a bit. He will likely have a terrible record next year, but indications of a brighter future will probably be seen by the end of the year. It would not be a surprise if he is successful, though Fulmer could blow it if he is as stupid as some here think. I doubt it because IMO his first hire was a very good one. I'm sad."
