Teams that have played in both say Neyland is a much harder place to play.
I’ll take their word for it.

Neyland isn't as loud as it was back in the 80s-90s. That was back when the upper deck stayed seated and stomped their feet the whole game. It was deafening

Man… I had forgotten about the foot stomping….if you were under the overhang it reverberated like thunder

I've been on the field at Sanford during a game. I can promise you it was nowhere near as loud as I've heard Neyland.
