Next Year's Record

With top coaches, year 2 is typically where you see the biggest jump (Kirby Smart and Saban for example). If Pruitt is going to be the guy to lead us to the promised land, I would expect at least 9 wins next year. He could still turn out to be a real good coach even if that doesn’t happen. But if he’s actually elite, we should be much better next year and at least competitive in every game.

I mean, how can it not. They're already better than everyone of our offensive linemen, save Trey Smith

Because you need an entire unit that is competent and works together. An o line is really only marginally better than its weakest link.

I'm gonna go 6-6 due to the easier schedule and the hope that Pruitt will at least leave us better than he found us, if nothing else. I reserve the right to change my mind after signing day.

We are in desperate need of players, who aren't candy asses. Now, we simply have too many candy asses to be anything resembling a good football team. Tennessee could not stop a runny nose today!

We are like that hot person you date for a while that is batshit insane. Anything from 4 to 8 wins wouldn't surprise me.
After getting our ass beat by Vandy today I'm leaning toward 4 wins. But by Summer I'll have convinced myself that we win 8. Such is the life of being a Vol fan.

Looking at the schedule I cant see anything leads me to believe it will be any better and possibly worse.

Hope I'm wrong but will say 5-7 with conference wins over Kentucky and Vandy and a loss to either BYU or UAB.

I say UT forfeit the season in the name of "rebuilding". They can still get the SEC's portion of TV revenue.

So...0-12
