The really promising thing for me while filling it out... the lack of seniors (juniors this year) when you really look at the roster. According to that depth chart (take with a grain of salt), there would only be six starting seniors... three on each side of the ball...and honestly, there is a good chance Simms won't be the starter.

We are going to have an even younger team next year than we do this year... but 2012 will be a real veteran bunch.

Looking ahead ... Looking behind.

We all knew we would miss Hardesty and Berry.
Who knew we would miss Crompton and 2 walk-ons and a converted tightend on the O-line this year?

I'm not sure it will be younger in general, even though there will be much fewer seniors. There will be plenty of juniors (at least on defense) and nowhere near as many freshmen. It will just be very sophomore heavy. As young, maybe, but not sure about younger.

I really like our depth at DT next year compared to this year. 1 true DT this year compared to 6 or 7 next year.

Looks pretty spot on, assuming we get some of those other recruits. Meline will be at DB though, and Askew would be MLB right? Not sure there. Hope he improves enough to see the field next year. Stephen Fowlkes should be on there somewhere probably, and Martaze Jackson???

Meline will be moved back to WR IMO, he is be redshirted this year & the only reason he was moved to DB was for emergency depth. He has the most potential at WR.

we could really use another big time LB in this recruiting class. Losing out on Luc and Taylor last year is gonna hurt us.

I'm still not understanding why a lot of people think that Couch will start over Walls. Is he just not doin well or is Couch really that good?!

Couch is that good! Also Hubbs thinks that neither Walls or Martin will be 100% next season, achillies injuries are very very tough to come back from. Walls & Martin will be around 70-75% next season.

Uh........seriously? 'Cause I kinda figured we'd miss them. They were our best players.

Don't think Jeffrey will be anywhere on depth chart next year, but you can include Ayers in that bunch (he's actually contributed).

Also, wouldn't put AJ ahead of Propst @ MLB, Propst is going to be a nice backup next year. Maybe a redshirt for AJ to see how he fills out and whether they want him @ WDE (wouldn't surprise me with the depth there) or MLB. Reminds me alot of Walker out of HS.

So what's the story on DT Jeffrey? I know that he was rehabing from ACL surgery his senior year when we recruited him. Word was that he was doing well and positive about his recovery. Given his pre-injury level of play, shouldn't he be making a move for playing time by now?

The juco DT that is down to us and usc jr. would be a big addition, but another big time linebacker is a need!!!

Greg King hasn't been healthy since he was injured last year. I know he's out for the year this year and there was some question about whether he could get a RS. If he could that would be great news as he's clearly the most talented LB we return.
