If this team can achieve 9+ wins. I know everyone is pumped up & excited about how this team played today. The O-Line looked great, the RB's were hitting holes hard, Crompton was looking through his progressions & making some good throws. BUT it was just against WKU, we had alot of TO's that we shouldnt have commited & alot of stupid penaltys that need to be corrected. I know that some of you are going to say that if it was last year we would have barley won, & yes thats true. BUT you gotta step back & look @ the big picture, this is how we are suppose to win games that we are favored by 30+ points. Im just as excited as anyone to see the Vols finally blow somebody out, but im not going to get my hopes up just yet. Next week is going to tell me & us alot. UCLA is an average to below average D-1 team. If we can blow them out (17+) & limit our TO's & stupid mistakes then im going to get my hopes up & say we have the chance to win 9 games, but if we struggle against this team again & barley win then we still have some cause for concern.

But until next week lets enjoy this win, but lets not forget it was just WKU. Go Vols!

Well I see your points on what you said. But have you notice the big different on the sideline today? I sure did, the player were happy and having fun today during the whole ballgame. Also coaches were pumped them up big time to play better, even when they did play good. That tell me that they are pumped up & excited about this new teams and moving on. Last year player were NOT HAPPY AND NOT HAVING FUN AT ALL.

A win is a win whether it is by 50+ or by 1 as long as the "Lane Train" and coaching staff doesn't give up on our players and correct mistakes and attack the endzone one play at a time... Awesome day, I'm still pumped and watching the replay I recorded even though I was there.. Can't get enough of today's action... UCLA is the only focus this week, not florida, GA, etc... Attack.....
1 game at a time..

i think we will beat ucla bad just because denarius moore will probably play alot more and our coaches know what we need to work on im guessing 42 to 10

It was "just" WKU, that we beat with a field full of kids who were in high school a few months ago.

Having said that, as great as it was cheering for the team today in Neyland, I still left feeling uneasy about the rest of the year. I hope to feel a lot better when I leave the stadium next Saturday.

GO VOLS!!!!!

My first qtr analysis was, new vols, same as the old vols. I was pleased to see them get serious in the second qtr and completely dominate the line of scrimmage. Nice turn around Kiff! Oh and as for you Monte, you'll keep us in games we would otherwise be written off in... I'm optimistic.

Great points and I agree with you... UCLA will tell us more about what kind of team we are, but bottom line is that the Vols didn't mess around today. They stayed focused the entire game... That was nice to see.

Not sure how much next week will tell us - UCLA is struggling with San Diego State right now.

I don't think overconfidence will be a problem. This is an experienced staff who will keep em focused on the task at hand.
